21.5k to 13.4k, seems I'm not the only one pssed with the NRL. That must be the lowest crowd in Perth since the Souths v Brisbane monsoon game when about 12k braved horrific weather.

SFS is a perfect example of a shitty stadium that needs a rebuild and why we need centralized stadiums...

While SFS is better than the shitholes in Leichhardt and Brooky, there is still almost no roof. There has been no mone invested in this stadium since the 80s because there is only 1 regular tenant.

A few more residence >> More cash invested >> better roof facilities >> more people showing up for this shitshow.

(thats not even mentioning that "a monsoon flooding people into their home" =/= "when it rains")

the sfs should definitely get a retractable roof. waratahs and sydney fc use the stadium too

What I don't understand is why they need an insentive of possibly getting a team in the city to go to a game? Don't you go to games for the experience of seeing it live? Not to get a team in the city

i would say a lot of them did want a perth team and that's why the nrl clubs would get good attendances there, because the people of perth wanted to show that they would support a perth nrl club, but it seems a lot of them now believe that the nrl won't have a team there, and they are probably right, at least not for a long time. we have too many nrl clubs in sydney. 2 should be forced to relocate. 1 to perth and 1 to adelaide

Selling out or not selling out one game a year isn't going to really decide whether Perth gets a team or not...

I think they need more than 5,000 people watching NRL games on FTA TV to demonstrate there is some interest there...

you have it around the wrong way. perth needs a team so the people of perth get interested

Souths playing Warriors = 20k

Souths not playing Warriors = 13.9k against the lowest drawing away team in the NRL

Your tin pot theory don't work to good hey....

Just so people not in Sydney can maybe get an idea of why there was 3k at roosters my 6 minute commute took me 45 minutes this morning.

There were f**king swimming pools at a Perth game a couple years back and the crowd was still bigger than today's. Sharks played in a f**king hurricane like conditions a few years back and still got a bigger crowd the a team playing in a stadium with plenty more undercover seats.

Please let me know what you don't understand about any of the following statements:

Everyone in Sydney was advised to not travel yesterday unless absolutely necessary. The reasoning being 2 fold, it was dangerous and it made it easier for emergency crews to navigate the roads.

Many Sydney suburbs, especially ones near bodies of water were evacuated late yesterday due to dangerous weather conditions.

Sydney public transport was an absolute disaster due to the weather conditions.

or maybe the Warriors are a bigger draw card than the Titans, you going to Manly v Warriors in a few weeks?

My train commute to work took an hour with all the delays, I can imagine it would have been really hard to get anywhere. I'm just glad we only had the one game in Sydney for this horrible weather.

Too many empty seats in Perth ,they don't deserve an NRL team.Where have I heard or read about that from a certain person from the West in regard to Sydney teams.

You missed a great game of football, but you revved your head instead .That's kool.

Yes if I'm in town. Two possible hypothesis. We will see at the manly game, last time got 20k, let's see what it gets this time.

Rev heading was great this weekend. Picked up plenty of advice for my race car build.

Yeh we deserved one last year when we broke the stadium record second year in a row, but not now lol. Be interesting if manly draw more than Souths.

You'd be defending it to the hilt if it was an Eels crowd.

Given the events of the weekend combined with the weather itself the NRL's done ok. Even an AFL game pulled 4k on Saturday..

Not dogs fault ..

10k has become a pass mark for mnf

It's just sad, you see the players run out to fields sometimes and look around at the stands with disappointment in their eyes
