The prices for Sydney's new rectangular stadium will be steep too. In all honesty $100 for the best seats in the house in one of the best stadiums in the world is a good deal.

Will they? In Brisbane they get away with it due to supply and demand. Even if they get 20K at most games at the end ground (which seems doubtful) theres still going to be a huge oversupply.

Good to see the parra fans sticking by their club through thick and thin..

Wouldn't be 6000.
Are you that unforgiving that you think torrential rain all day isn't an excuse for fans not to attend a game? (that is, on top of all the rubbish the club's gone through this year, whether it was their own doing or not?)

There's always an excuse for Sydney's shit crowds though.

Too hot, too cold, too wet, week night, other things on, players missing, teams losing, etc etc. That's sport. That's life.

The nrl is supposed to have 20k averages by next year according to the strategic plan. Broncos at home every week wouldn't even get them close.

There's always an excuse for Sydney's shit crowds - and there's always someone there to tear down the good ones too.

Hell people criticised 80,000 attending Origin a month ago.

And yes - it is sport and it is life, so why are you being so ridiculously savage about it, every damn time?

Show me the last time I even commented in this thread. I just turned on to see empty seats at a relatively small stadium and another embarrassment for RL on FTA TV.

And it's not even a shit crowd. It's a very shit crowd. If 20k is supposed to be average a shit crowd would be maybe 10k. This is not nearly that. And when are these good crowds? There's so few that could be called good by any measure. If you have to point to Origin 1, probably the second biggest RL game in Australia this year, as an example of a good crowd worth fapping over I'd say that only goes to show how few good crowds there are.

1. It's patently obvious to anyone who tunes in for more than half a second that it's shithouse weather. The footage of people covered in ponchos and water drops weren't enough of a giveaway?

2. Why are you holding this 20,000 average to some high standard? It was in a strategic plan, and it probably won't be reached. So be it. I'm not gonna pretend everything is perfect but blaming anyone or anything for tonight's poor crowd is just weak.

3. I wasn't pointing to Origin 1 as an example of a good crowd, I was using it as an example of your sad cynicism.

Just a bit over the negativity, especially on obvious things like tonight.

So you're using an example of something I DIDN'T SAY as an example of my supposed cynicism. Brilliant. It's easy to prove someone wrong when you get to fabricate their argument for them.

Next week it'll be some other excuse. And the next week. And the next. Every sport in the world deals with bad weather, competition from other events, off-field issues, star players missing, scheduling for TV, etc. But none make as many excuses as RL. Apparently it's no ones's fault. Music to the NRL's ears. They get to plod along and have others make up excuses for them. Every week.

Nope, it just sounds like you'd find a way to put a dampener on finding a cure for cancer and eradicating poverty.

Anyway, 8,464 at Pirtek tonight. Well done to those who got out there in trying conditions.

How many crowds over 20k have we had this year excluding Broncos and fake double header? How many under 10k?
