2016 Crowd Watch

NRL is failing everywhere to get crowds except Brisbane. Top of the table and sharks avg is less than 14k, what we've seen in Perth this year compared to the previous years is indicative of just how poorly the NRL is doing in attracting fans. Keep screwing the fans over and they won't support the game, simple as. The heavy rain probably knocked 2-3k off the crowd but that is still significantly less than this fixture has drawn previously.

Still 11k in Torrential rain is better than the measly 4K at shark park. Perth>Cronulla

Why would anyone in Perth go and watch Manly v Warriors - its too random a game...
They need to be more strategic.
Hows this:
The NRL should pay one of the smaller Sydney clubs (Panthers, West Tigers or the Sharks) to play three games in Perth each year including against the Titans on the Friday night before Perth Origin and against the Broncos on the Friday night after Perth Origin.
Eventually build that up to 5 games a year - then sneakily relocate permanently at night time.

Stop all of your fighting and consider this terrific idea I came up with earlier. Lets all agree we want bigger crowds and the solutions are to be found in my ideas.

Considering souths have 30k members and claim to be one of the best supported clubs in the world combined with a recent premiership, the crowd is diabolical.

Knights can still get 15k against the worst drawing sides in the comp and we are on the cusp of our 3rd spoon in 10 years.
I'm proud of that crowd. I'm not getting into an argument here but we have a lot of supporter members, interstate members and 3 game members.

Considering where we are that's a good effort.

Knights are a one town team though remember that and there isn't as much to do in Newcastle as Sydney where there are many teams.

Tomorrow night for example I'd imagine there will be more Sharks members than Roosters ones. Take the Sharks members out and you'd get a crowd of 4-5k.

How can you be proud of that crowd? It was f**king dire.
My football team has just announced they have sold 33k season tickets (fully ticketed) in the second tier of English football at around $1200 a pop.
Did I mention they haven't won the title since 1927?
We get 13k on a Saturday night when family tickets were $40. There's no pride in that it was awful.

I hear manchester united sell some tickets too. Why would we care what happens in soccer in england?

Your right the NRL is doing it all so well they shouldn't be looking at other leagues which have managed to get TV deals worth billions very year whilst still packing out stadiums. Why would that be of any interest to the NRL.
Either way 13k last night when we have 34k members and haven't played on a weekend in the city since March is awful.

Did you tell the nrl to look at it or just post in the nrl crowd thread on LU about it?
