you can't say sh!t about sydney games with rain when a perth team would probably get the same crowd

I blame the NRL and clubs, not fans or weather. It's sad that our game can't attract big crowds, be it in Perth or anywhere else.

Funny
I could have sworn 61279 fans attended a dead rubber origin on Wednesday in Sydney.
Last time I looked

That was ... our ... game !

Loads of freebies, massive discounts and the self appointed pinnacle of our game can't fill a stadium, sad really.

Still shit all over the pathetic attempt Perth put on yesterday.

A good turn out considering where we are on the ladder.

I honestly thought there wouldn't be more than 10k there.

Considering souths have 30k members and claim to be one of the best supported clubs in the world combined with a recent premiership, the crowd is diabolical.

Knights can still get 15k against the worst drawing sides in the comp and we are on the cusp of our 3rd spoon in 10 years.

Why would anyone in Perth go and watch Manly v Warriors - its too random a game...
They need to be more strategic.
Hows this:
The NRL should pay one of the smaller Sydney clubs (Panthers, West Tigers or the Sharks) to play three games in Perth each year including against the Titans on the Friday night before Perth Origin and against the Broncos on the Friday night after Perth Origin.
Eventually build that up to 5 games a year - then sneakily relocate permanently at night time.

NRL is failing everywhere to get crowds except Brisbane. Top of the table and sharks avg is less than 14k, what we've seen in Perth this year compared to the previous years is indicative of just how poorly the NRL is doing in attracting fans. Keep screwing the fans over and they won't support the game, simple as. The heavy rain probably knocked 2-3k off the crowd but that is still significantly less than this fixture has drawn previously.

Still 11k in Torrential rain is better than the measly 4K at shark park. Perth>Cronulla

Abysmal effort

What a waste of money.

My little tiny town gets more come to a game between the sharks and anyone.

That was the first game played in perth that I've missed. Nothing to do with the weather. I had no interest in going to that crap. The NRL need to be driving this and send some quality games over.

Disapointing crowd aside, and ignoring tit Sharks fans whinging, Manly and Warriors both did a great job whilst in town in promoting the game and running clinics for Jnrs and coaches. Over 250 kids turned out to the Many coaching session at NIB. Manly have locked in for 2 more years which is great boost to the game in WA.

Lol. Brisbane is a 1 team town, did you know?

I'd suggest per capita, they have worse crowds than Sydney.

The Broncos crowds have dropped off & I'd say it has a lot to do with their Friday night schedule, surely they'd be sick of night footy, on a work day - must be hard to get the family there.
