Let's not kid ourselves.
All fumble ball stadiums are either new, well established with decent facilities, especially for women. And oval ground dedicated.

Our stadiums( the suburban ones )need updating to attract more fans and ANZ a non rectangular stadium has shown to be utterly hopeless in wet weather and for atmosphere being so far away.

WE are spread much further than Melbourne, and have bigger transport problems.Going to ANZ in this weather and fighting the traffic today,is a waste of space.

Titans have a decent stadium, but they have to re-embrace the locals after the Cof E debacle.Newcastle have shown a decent stadium complex, brings the crowds.

If we can't improve crowds with an upgraded ANZ,new Parra, updated SFS and improved suburban ones, then we would have decent reasons to complain.

The Swans are a bigger brand than any of the Sydney NRL teams and sadly the biggest club football team in Sydney. I don't see that changing any time soon because for some reason they are always a top 4 type of a team on the field.
It would be interesting to see how they went with 3 or 4 years of on field failure, but I don't think the AFL would allow that and they are more than capable of manipulating things for the greater good of the code (which the NRL seem incapable of).
I think GWS will soon attract bigger crowds than the Sydney NRL teams (as they are coming in to a big period of success).
The AFL are just smarter operators in every area and its been that way for decades. I cannot watch AFL but I can acknowledge the facts in that regard.

Seriously the Giants? They already blow their crowds out and count feet at games. No one watches them on TV, from Sydney that is, they play a huge chunk of matches in Canberra because there is not enough interest in them in West Sydney and they give out free tickets like the plague (which is what I'd rather have than go to a Giants match).

But yeah they're going to be more popular than all of Sydney's nrl teams.

Bloody hell, half the fanbase lives in the bush and a fair few in other places where they'll be lucky to make a game a year, the afl more or less has cities with bugger all regional fans compared to the Eastern states.

This, I wonder why media week hardly show regional ratings?

13,420 at raiders. Good. Compared to 8-9k last time they played... Of course that wasn't on Anzac weekend though

Long weekends usually work against us. About half of Canberra's population disappears on long weekends.

I was pleasantly surprised with the figure considering we got pasted in the previous two outings. Glad the boys put on a show.

You can also thank parra, home fans will attend in numbers when their opposition are quality, parra were unlucky to lose.....

The attendance at the home of the Premiers had nothing to do with the opposition.

Work on your own attendance before worrying about others.

What nonsense. You think the Cows would have got their best crowd of the year if they were playing a bottom dweller?? Of course not, as their crowds this season attest.

Of course the opposition plays a part. Broncs got 40k because it was the Rabbitohs.

Decent crowd for Canberra given our recent form. I don't get the scheduling though, now we have to wait 5 weeks for our next home game.

Seems poorly thought out to have no rugby league whatsoever in Canberra for a full 5 weeks.

Both the Cowboys crowd and the Raiders crowd were good. Dogs crowd was awful.

Harsh Tim Tam.

What's the average attendance for a Titans game in Sydney? Probably less than 11k and you got that in very ordinary conditions.

15-17k on a nice day. I'd be very happy if we got that at the Roosters.

11.5k is the dogs highest home attendance against the Titans since 07 (so second highest ever). Excluding the Brisbane double headers.

Isn't a huge sample size, but makes yesterday seem decent considering.
