Melbourne crowd looks terrible, lucky to be 18k

probably 21k in melbourne, maybe the anzac day on a monday, hasnt helped the crowds today..

better on the start of a long weekend not the end...

One side of AAMI Park upper level looks full the other one is 85-90% empty. Foxsports have said might be around 24-25k. Anyone have any pictures of last years game and what they got?

Did not have a game last year.

The year before this game got 29k after many years of promoting this game as a event, then they changed the game to Melbourne Vs Manly and ruined the whole thing.

Good point Blue and Gold. I think they wanted to have a look at how the ANZAC day game would be received in NZ thats why they changed it. It must have been a bit of a failure.

You really dont think it matters Mongoose? It guts me as a Parra fan that we haver these no name sponsors. It makes me spew when I go into Macca's and see AFl stuff everywhere. It matters.

You don't know what your own team's sponsor does? Just google it ya slacker.

I agree, though I would prefer Saturday or Sunday afternoon over Friday night.

Clever how the camera only shows the full side at AAMI. I really dislike the stadium though.

Okay crowd. We have to make up lost ground after the NRL dropped the Anzac game last year (for some unknown reason). As mentioned prior to this it's been sellouts. Hopefully we can build up to that again

I think it will improve, Im pretty sure in previous years this game was scheduled at 6pm.

Not sure if that had an effect on the crowd, but playing at 7pm was probably cause the NRL wanted to keep Monday night timeslot flowing.

With next year being on a Tuesday, it will no doubt be 6pm.

Yes mate. Been 3 times. Viewing wise it's great. I hate the look of the stadium, the bubble like look it has, it's gross.

I think the AAMI Park bubble look is great, and I too think it's iconic. The stadium that hosts the good sports in Melbourne needs a suitable stadium and they've got it.
