2016 Crowd Watch

Crowd 18,000 in Christchurch
This ground was known as Rugby League Park before its name changed due to sponsorship, but this was the first NRL game that has ever been held there, and the first in Christchurch in 6 years. It was the home game of a Sydney club. Nonetheless the crowd still supported the Warriors, because they are called New Zealand no doubt.

The Panthers had been in the place all week, so they were more at home than the New Zealand Warriors, who would have flown in this morning.

If the New Zealand Warriors were anything other than an Auckland team, they'd take a home game to Christchurch and/or Wellington every year instead of relying on Sydney clubs taking games to NZ for their supporters to come and see them.

Will probably only be like 25k-30k for Storm v Cows kick off while slowly building. Obviously won't be full until Brisbane game

Half of Brisbane's crowd would not want to watch a match between teams 1 and 3, even though they've paid for it. Quite remarkable.

Ground configuration has changed since then champ, 18,000 is bt capacity these days, though it's nice to see you are so concerned to go that far back, good onya fella.

Aware of that sport.

27k were willing to go all those years ago.

Couldn't sell out a 20k capacity stadium against a fellow Sydney team in an extremely meaniful game in terms of the club's history.

Yeah..ground holds 20k sport.

Progress...

But why should you divide the gate? That's my whole point, the majority of the crowd will be there for both games, everybody will be there for at least a portion of both, ergo both games should be counted as crowds of (in theory) 52,500, not two of 26,250.

Besides if counted it will give a big boost to the yearly averages which we all as NRL fans should be happy with!

because average attendance = total attendance in a season/total games in a season

that's how it works, anything else is simply wrong

When double headers used to be included in ticketed memberships we'd have drinks before the game and get to the stadium at half time of the first game as there is quite a big break between games, looks pretty damn full at the moment.

Surely this double header doesn't count towards each clubs average home attendance, farcical if it does.

Perhaps your club could stump up and pay for a home game up here to boost your home crowd average?

Right now it looks like there is actually less people there for the second game.
Suppose people could be off eating or something still.
