Good crowd at Parra.

13,333 Pax for roosters v vermin on sunday. To get 30k or more I would have expected a pax of 20k by Friday.

I still maintain the ticket prices are a disgrace

Looks like 14-16k @ Pirtek. Tickets flying off the shelves for Broncos v Warriors. Looking like it will nudge 40k.

SLR what do you think of my contention this could be Brisbane's best year for crowds, fair call given the circumstances around their season?

I have to agree, best year for crowds at Suncorp surely.

Scheduling so far is a little boring, will see how we go, hopefully weather is good. Ticketed memberships are pretty amazing throughout the stadium. I would say about 20k of our members are actually ticketed.

GA bays are a shame, shave the capacity to about 44,500. I'm hoping our average hits 36k.

Good crowd at Parra. Re ticket prices this in RLW

Manly fans are paying the most to support their team, while Warriors supporters are forking out the least according to a Rugby League Week report.

Based on the price of admission tickets, four pies and four packets of chips, it costs families $114 for a day at the dilapidated Brookvale Oval, $45 more than it does for the four people at Mt Smart Stadium.

Parramatta are the cheapest Australian club for families to go watch, with the same experience costing a family $79.

Canberra, Cronulla, Canterbury and Wests Tigers are also notoriously more affordable for families and single adults, while Brisbane and the Roosters are closer to Manly for the most expensive.

The figures follow a 2015 season in which the Sea Eagles had the worst average home attendances of all Sydney teams.

Poor research for the above article. Broncos ticket prices are far more than Manly's. Even at our "early bird" prices.

Doesn't really change the point of the article though, considering it's about how expensive it is to go to a game for a family of 4 at each ground.

So pretty much the food at Brookvale must be gourmet cooked by some famous french chef.

When Parramatta last played Brisbane at Pirtek it was Round 9 2013 and the crowd was 11,005.

Pretty sure the food and drinks at Brookie are all outsourced.

Besides which there's a Maccas like just outside the ground.

And a bloke selling sausage sandwiches.

Evens it out a bit.

Why do you need to buy food at the ground anyway. In my days living in Sydney as a student, we used to play footy on Saturday and go to the best game around Sydney on the Sunday. We would take the bus/train, watch the game, go home and cook tea and have a beer if we weren't too hung over from the Saturday night, and then watch the Big League on 7 with Rex Mossop. Times have changed but I'm sure people can go 80-90 minutes without having the drink or eat.

Suburban ground should have cheaper ticket prices compared to Suncorp. The quality of the facility it something to take into consideration in pricing tickets. Why price so much to sit on a hall or severely out-dated grandstand.

Suburban grounds are less efficient to run. Often hiring big screens, less corporates and (no) stadium members to subsidise the average punter...

Good crowd at Parra. They've been terrible for years, facing an out of town team and missing their top 2 paid players. If Parra ever become a force their crowds will be fantastic.

Yeah I feel like if any parts of Australia want to end a long running drought they ought to bid for an NRL team.
