The more NRL playing kits resemble bush footy teams with sponsors plastered all over them, the more it cheapens their brand identity and (ironically) waters' down the sponsors identity with the team they're backing. I could still name most (if not all) major sponsors from the days when we had a 20 team comp, but I'd struggle to tell you who half the teams' back/ lower jersey sponsors were these days...

Have they ever considered foing to squad numbers rather than position numbers and then having player names on jerseys? Makes more commercial sense to me anyway

What does everyone think of the knights away jersey? I quite like it. Most australians would not have seen it but have a look at thr widnes 2015 magic weekend jersey, its brilliant. Basically black and white stripes similar to newcastle united

I would love to see this. Im getting old and i cant tell the players apart anymore like i did as a kid, even in my own team...

Keep the 1-17 for rep matches, and have players keep a single number for as long as they are at a given club.

Blue numbers on a blue stripe doesn't work too well.

This what they did in Super League in 97, but the traditionalist bitched about it. UK still does it.

Huh, thats funny...

Thats the design i hated the most.

Oh yes.

Red i the obvious choice, but i still hold out hope that we will go back to the Henny Penny gold.
(though, with minimal red, we might tart looking like Parra)

Bulldogs had a extra lower back sponsor in 2013 and had to cover them up IMO. Maybe the Brooks jersey will just have 007 and the one in the photo is just for show? We'll see tomorrow night!

Anything other than horizontal stripes on socks look bad. Heaps of teams with socks like that this year

Besides the socks and the weird patch of blue on the back of the shorts, I quite like the Titans away kit.

Scrap the blue and yellow ocean/piss jersey

Might be old news to some but when the hell did the price of jerseys sky rocket to $179! I thought it was expensive at $159 but this is ridiculous. Where does the money go, are rebel setting these prices or the manufacturers to blame. I certainly dont see the quality to justify the price.

Checked out a 2016 waratahs jersey for comparison and its the same deal while afl and a-league are the same $99

The biggest joke of all is kids jerseys at $149

I was keen on buying the roosters 2016 jersey as i havent bought one since the 2012 season but will not even contemplate it now with these prices. So fans are gouged worst than other codes for jerseys, tickets, gameday food..... definitely the least fan friendly sports league i have ever encountered

Just wait for the end of season - you can usually pick one up in the $50-100 range.

Check eBay, usually cheapest place to buy new jerseys and also there are always some cracker retro jerseys (not the newly made ones - proper old jerseys) available.

Ive always hated the White Away jerseys, its just lazy....

There is the Ink Blue colour in the V; id much rather they made their Away predominantly that colour with Turquoise trimming.

Edit: Titans will never top their 2007 Strip. The nostalgia alone of bringing that back would be great for the club...

Other than the new collar, the roosters jersey is identical to last year's as they have all the same sponsors. Should be able to grab one on eBay for a good price.
