The loading on shoulder charges is just wrong fullstop. How is a grade 1 shoulder charge worth 200 points ?

Does anyone seriously believe that wighton tackle should rub a guy out for 3 weeks with 50 left over points?

Do you mean base penalty for gradings?

Loading is to do with prior offences.

First point of contact the arm is away from the body, so it cannot be a shoulder charge. There is no justification for a charge.

Could have put a prop back there! You are winning by 40! You have other backs who can play 20 minutes of FB just for the sake of it. You have a bloke who has priors surely you need him rested as much as humanly possible

Are you serious? Wighton is a key player but Sezer is even more important with Austin out. Throw in the likes of BJ, Papalli, Croker and you would have to say they are up there too. So it is a massive stretch to say Wighton should have been rested at any stage.

He never attempts anything but a shoulder charge.
Using 100th of a second freeze frame to claim his arms was away from the body is stretching it.

Don't get me wrong I know full well Ennis' was too.

We all know what it looks like. But the NRL definition of a shoulder charge specifies that the arm must be tucked against the body at the point of contact for it to be a shoulder charge.

The fact that his arm was away from his body at the point of contact means it cannot be considered a shoulder charge under the definition that the NRL use.

Haha yeah ok but a cleanskin who gets a grade 2 shoulder charge is looking at 350 base points you thick twat.

Both of jacks priors are borderline anyway. One is his hit on a falling soward that only got a charge because it wasnt penalised on the field and the other is touching a ref i believe.

350 base points drops under 300 and takes a week off with early plea - you know that right?
