Someone paid for 3500 junior league players in Canberra to automatically be a Canberra member!!!!!!

So a kid who goes for Cronulla is now suddenly a Canberra member because he plays footy in Canberra - and there is a lot of kids in Canberra supporting Cronulla going by Canberra games attendances vs Cronulla?

What a crock. Cheating way to artificially boost member numbers!!!!!!!!!!!

Did the kids get to choose which team they wanted to be a member of? Someone else buying a membership for 'free' to a new member to boosts numbers does not reflect how many true members who joined up by their own effort.

What if Souths, Penrith, Parramatta or Cronulla did this - number would certainly be different to what they are (excluding Canberra)

The Raiders are doing exactly wot the Brumbies did a few weeks ago.
Matching their shonky attempt to claim a huge boost in memberships.

The Raiders will still hit around 11500 without the juniors
A record Dickhead

Souths cares does similar, people donate money to buy poor kids a football membership (why have breakfast and school supplies when you can have a footy membership).

Either way its paid up members, who cares how they do it. Maybe if sharks had some supporters they might buy some for other people.

Well IF they do let us know when that occurs during the season because without the made up numbers they are a long way from breaking the Record!!

Typical merged steelers response, it's 'paid' up members who don't support that club!!!!! We don't need sponsors to buy memberships to nearly double our figures. Maybe some of your sponsors can pay your rent. We don't need private enterprise to survive unlike some of those trying to go down that angle - sound familiar? The Sharks have learnt to stand on their own two feet as a stand alone entity. We could actually buy you from the NRL but why buy something which will never have any money. How the tables have turned and people are starting to realise that and are nervous for their own clubs safety now that Cronulla is well and truely safe from moving/ merging and is no longer a target of such.

Hmm, not so sure, you still needed a pizza man and a director to come in and cover $4.5million of your debts recently. Hardly standing on your own feet at this point in time.

Having feet to stand on is more than Perth will ever have..

Ever heard of bridging finance. Won't be an issue by the end of the year!!!
