Gus should come in now.

Gus is like Jerry in Seinfeld when he won a race as a kid and then refused to ever do it again so he wasn't found out.

Gus probably knows he couldn't do any better with the NSW players available so won't risk his rep as an Origin coach. The players he was blessed with in the 90s isn't unlike what QLD has now.

TBF Gould admitted exactly that himself.

What the f**k did Gallen do wrong tonight? Some of you idiots in here have no idea.

Blake Ferguson has been shit for the Roosters and gets a jumper? Has done nothing in 2 games..

Moylan - overrated weak, scared, shit player.. Doesn't have the balls or confidence to pick the ball up and have a crack at trying to run out of the in goal.

Walker.. He tried his best tonight but was average.

Tamou - 4 runs?

Farah - can't even make the Tigers run on side..

Mansour - I like him, had some strong carries but had three tries scored down his side? 4 if you count the try in the first game.

Jennings - the bloke hasn't done anything for 4 years. Even then he wasn't that good besides his speed.

But wait a sec, it's all Gallens fault.. f**k off Gould you fat f**k.
Gallen attempts to play half and it stifles the blues.
It's been like that for years, he's second or 3rd receiver and touches the ball too much.

NSW will win and win consecutively once he retires, its not that he doesnt have heart but this is the truth.

Cooper Cronk getting injured was more influential on NSW winning in 2014 than any NSW player.

I love this old chestnut, one of the funniest myths ive seen. Poor old qld had to make do with the gun side they had left, including the qlderp 'GOAT' Thurston. Yet were beaten by the might of Hodkinson and Reynolds in the halves

Make no mistake NSW beaten by a better team again, pure and simple.

Having said that, and given the series is over, it is almost certainly time to blood, new blood for the blues.

Gallen was not to blame for tonight, nor was Bird or anyone else, we were simply beaten by a better side, or more to the point Jonathon Thurston.

The series is lost time for new blood. Out with the old and in with the new.

I would not even have an issue with them picking Townsend. Townsend and Maloney with Bird in the centres and Wade back on bench

NSW has a habit of picking or looking at a halves combination that's the same at club level. Maloney/Pearce, Reynolds/Hodkinson, Bird/Kimmorely. I think the start of the year, it was Austin/Sezer/

I don't think they'll pick Townsend, however I wouldn't mind if he was playing. He's been playing alright since he come back to Cronulla.

Yeah, because Gallen has had control of team selection for all those years that he has been captain...

NSW's problem has always been poor selections. That's what killed them this series and is what is going to cripple them going forward unless they change their selection process. 2014 was an anomaly.

Agreed. Gallen was a poor selection.

And if Hayne went down injured instead and killed the Blues chances, you wouldn't hanging your hat on that?

I agree, I'm not in here defending Gallen but. He has been doing it for years, for the Sharks also. I'm only giving it to walker but because I don't believe he deserves his spot in the team. Nsw need to start picking players on form only, not jobs for the boys.
I don't think Gallen did anything wrong tonight and I like him as a player. I'm not accusing you or any other Sharks fan of taking pot shots at him, but I think the work load he has shouldered for the Sharks and NSW has been admirable. I've never bought into this whole notion that Cronulla should get rid of him because he is a "ball-hog." Granted, I think there are times that he takes a settler on the 4th tackle well inside the opposition half when he shouldn't but that is only a minor thing and can be easily fixed. I also think that his over involvement could be a symptom of having played in some very ordinary Sharks teams over the years and that he has simply gotten into the habit of shouldering the workload himself.

As for Dylan Walker, I completely agree that he shouldn't have been picked. In 2014, he was arguably the best or one of the best young players in the competition. He was a magnificent athlete and really excelled at making space for himself and getting on the outside of players. However, since then he has experienced off the field issues and a decline in form and has never really hit the dizzy expectations that he once set himself. I don't think Trent Barrett's coaching has really helped him either as the guy simply just doesn't know how to use him.

I get that.. But to lump all the blame on one guys shoulders because he has his own agendas is just wrong.

The coach that has the guts to drop Gallen would also have the stones to clean out the rest of the deadwood in the side and make the right decisions.

Gallen is a complete dud at origin level. His 4th tackle settlers after we get a roll on and getting into 1st receiver when we get inside the 20 murders so many opportunities for us, it's criminal.

Thing is when Gallen does these things he also gets to add another run and 8-10 cheap (but pointless) metres to his stats, so after the game people who get all their footy analysis from SuperCoach scores think he had a good game. Farah does the same thing with rudderless dummy half runs and stupid early tackle count kicks

You mean exactly what happened in 2013?

I don't recall any bitching and crying then after he got MOTM in nsw's game 1 win then tore his hammy the following week for parra

If its true Gallen is assisting Daley in the selections it could explain why team mate Wade Graham was at the NSW meeting where he want really invited.

Its not a bad thing but if youre team is losing than its one of those things that people go back to

I don't think they would pick him either but I just can't think of another option that sticks out who is in form. I think Townsend is probably the form NSW Halfback and the combination is an added bonus.

The cohesion in this team is down right pitiful too
