Tedesco can be better, i also noticed lack of passing. But we were much stronger from the back i thought. Liked Moylan at 5/8 also. Woods had an excellent game. Good back rowers. But a dead rubber and endless possesion shouldnt take till the last minute to win like that.

Fifita is a clown.

Klemmer is a myth. He's a 6'5 125kg tackling machine. Has no impact or intimidation.

And then there's James Tamou. How does he get a start in rep teams????????????????????
Bloke its the line as hard as a wet sponge and then gets put on his back nearly every hit up.

Thurston's comments were the most inflammatory, potentially:

Maroons star Johnathan Thurston initially tried to deflect questions about the Blues' snub, but then declared it was a "disrespectful".

"I don't want to get into a slinging match here, but it was pretty disrespectful I thought," he said.

"I think that just typifies what this (NSW) team is about.

"Like I said, I don't want to get into a slinging match here, but I thought it was very disrespectful. Smithy is sitting at the top of the tree for the amount of games he has played. (Considering) the respect he deserves, I thought it was very disrespectful what they did.

"They got the result in the end and probably didn't deem it disrespectful to walk off like they did."

He said the act has put fire in his team's belly for 2017.

Thurston then had a crack at Blues star Andrew Fifita for his moment of madness when he was sent to the sin bin for an off-the-ball grab on Gavin Cooper's melon.

"That's just another sign of what that team is about," he said.

"Officials dealt with it and sin-binned him, but it just typified what that team is about.
"They got the result tonight, but the shield is still in Queensland for another 12 months."

NSW were by far the better side in the first half. The pressure they built forced QLD into negative spoiling tactics that NSW has been using for years.
Cronk taking forever to get off the field along with Smith getting into minute long debates showed they were struggling to keep up.
Hopefully signs that the tide is turning.

So much complaining about the lob sided penalty count. Qld in the first half were quite blatantly holding down in the tackles and giving away penalties on purpose. They deserved those penalties to be blown. Last nights match showed that NSW with their younger team have much more pace across the field than Qld, they couldn't keep up, hence holding down in the tackles.Cry all you like about the penalties, but they were deserved.

What Fifita did was about as dumb as it gets but its laughable when JT tries to take the highroad for his side like throwing the ball at someones head after scoring is a classy move.

I still remember JTs meltdown in 2014 when he realised NSW were going to win, turned into a complete grub after one series loss f**king little sook.

Yep the elbow to grubs head springs to mind. As per usual, whinge when they win, & continue to whinge when they get beaten.

I think 'throwing the ball at (Moylan's) head' is a little bit melodramatic. There was nothing in it. Fifita lost his shit.

While Fifita shouldn't have run in like, Cooper was the instigator. If they're going to ban Fifita for a match than they should also get Cooper. You cannot be throwing objects at peoples faces.

If Cooper thinks he can do something like that in an origin match without any retaliation than he is kidding himself.

Just watched the NSW guys wandering away when Smith was addressing them (didn't see it last night). That was pretty shit.

lol.

If that amounts to 'instigating', Origin is dead.

There was nothing in it.

I'm all happy that NSW won last night, the previous Origin games the NSW team couldn't even buy a penalty, last night the refs was giving it away like confetti.

It's origin mate, if you want to niggle then expect consequences. It's always been that way.

Thats fine. But be smart about it. Line him up the next time he carries the ball. Don't run into a huddle and yank the bloke down by the next. Because then you go to the bin AND you look geniused.

Cooper 2 Fifita 0

I agree but tempers are high in the match. If you're going to do something as childish as throw a football in someones face while laying on the ground then you have to expect someone react to it.

Had it been Fifita throwing the football in Cronks face do you really think Qld wouldn't have reacted?

Cooper very well may have played his last origin match. He can thank his buddy Thurston for the call up in the first place.

South Sydney superstar Greg Inglis is facing up to four matches on the sidelines after he was charged with a grade two shoulder charge by the match review committee in the aftermath of a dramatic State of Origin Game Three.

Inglis was one of three players cited, with Broncos forward Corey Parker (grade two dangerous contact) and Sharks forward Andrew Fifita (grade one contrary conduct) both facing a week on the sidelines.

Inglis was slapped with his grade two charge following a tackle on NSW centre Josh Dugan in the 48th minute. The Rabbitohs star will miss three matches with an early guilty plea, but would risk missing four matches if he fights the charge at the NRL judiciary and loses.

Parker was cited for his challenge on NSW forward James Tamou in the 72nd minute and will miss a match unless he fights the charge successfully at the NRL judiciary.

Fifita will also miss a match for his contrary conduct on Origin debutant Gavin Cooper in the 51st minute, unless he challenges the charge at the NRL judiciary.
