Not so sure about that. I reckon last week there were only 6k in attendance vs the tigers (announced as 12k lol) Of those perhaps 3k were tigers fans. And that was our home game. I know today is somewhat of a bigger occasion, but as a supporter base we've certainly shown (quite rightly) our disdain for that venue.

Having said that, I've been given some free tickets so I'll be out there

6k? I was there also, there is no reason to think there was anything other than the announced crowd there.

The Manly game was in shocking conditions at a ground where I would think the majority of the seats and the hill isn't undercover.

Apparently according to PR every game should be a sell out.
No matter what timeslot
No matter what day
No matter what weather
No matter who the opposition is

Yet the one game in Perth this year was a catastrophic failure.

Just got this text from Storm...
STORM V COWBOYS top-8 clash Sat night 5:30pm AAMI Park. Multicultural food festival from 1pm on Gosch's. Buy early to save $$

I think they may have done this vefore ANZAC game but I was rushing to get there so went straight past without dropping in.

I think this is a good initiative. Not sure it will have an initial impact on crowd numbers but should increase the game day experience everyone craps on about these days. Hopefully they persist with it and let it develop a following.

I'll get a feed there if all goes to plan.

Souths v Gold Coast... 7.50pm Friday

this is like a gruen transfer challenge to sell ..

Origin players out
both teams in bad form
75000+ empty seats
rain forecast
9 Degrees

Wouldnt be a bad game to move to Gosford..

I graded it at dissppointing at the time. The fixture has sold much better than 11,400 in the past, even with the sht weather I would have expected around 14-15k so it was poor in that context. Interest in the game is down right across the country(except Darwin!) it would seem. Manly v warriors has drawn 21k here a few years ago so will be a good test if weather is ok of how the nrl is travelling here.

No way MATE....as the neighbours would think I got a problem...how is your self doing any sport.

My milk and lemonade bottles are stacked up outside neatly ,for the recyclers to pick up.
One of my fave sports ,is serving it up to you mate.

So why wouldn't souths fans turn up for a home game decent time to see them smash the cripples. I done get the no away support argument. .it must be a sydney thing. .all the non sydney teams would not bank on away supporters to bolster there crowds...not saying they don't get them. ..just thst it's not an excuse they should lean on for poor home support.
