Hey I was resetting expectations. Cronulla's crowds have barley ever topped 13,000avg (8 times in 50 years) so just under 12k on a Thursday night was par for the course for them, even as reigning premiers. People on here are unrealistic of how popular NRL is, I am realistic, disappointed often, but realistic. If you don't consider sub 13k crowd avg sht for a top tier Australian sport then fair enough, just telling it like it is.
You wouldn't have a clue about crowd expectations.Thursday night,p*ssing down most of the day, stopped for the game, then squirted down again. One of only a couple of clubs who does not rely on poker machine profits, they don't get it from the Licenced Club.
Play it on a fine night or weekends and smell the difference.
People are realistic here in Sydney about midweek, rain, traffic and scheduling and infrastructure, all have an effect on crowds, some all the time.
And their amended development plans to be approved by the PAC,involve extra a hotel and 3 apartment blocks.
Membership already well up on last year.
Yet you are quite happy to have a Perth side lucky to average 13,000.Yeah we knowing where you are coming from,
What we do know ,you can't see past the Simpson Desert.
