The place could hold 20,000 if everyone was breathing down the necks of everyone else.It had 20,000 when they had the dance spectacular ,and people complained about the congestion and discomfort.

OK I'll spell it out for you.Only single seat were available. The main hill area you could barely move ,ditto sideline and end standing areas. Most suburbans clubs would kill for that crowd as would your mob.You do understand not every ticket holder attends every game.
The club was more than happy to fill the joint, bearing in mind live on FTA.12-13,000 breakeven, rest profitable.

You mean the team with just about an all seater stadium, where those honest politicians roam, who we thrashed and continued on to win the G./F.Yeah that backyard team.

Yeah funny that ,we've been playing the most inconsistent and dumb times football this year, yet got 17,000 plus to the game.Must be something about our backyard ,having thousands prepared to stand in discomfort to a watch team playing like park footballers at times. And they don't need the viking clap to do it.

I'll spell it out for you too
You can.but but but all you want

We did considerably better then you in memberships & attendances this year , a year we have been major disappointments ... like the most disappointing team all year

And a year you guy's were premiers for the first time ever & will play finals again pushing for a top 4 berth up until last night

Dress mutton up as lamb all you want
But that about sums it up.
;)

it doesn't look promising with too many small Sydney teams who's fans don't travel playing out of town sides at either ANZ or Allianz
thats a recipie for disaster but the luck of the draw too

the solution is cheap as chips tickets for non members & all junior passes & memberships getting you a seat for free

Useless for this season, but its exactly why i want to see conferences...

Groups of 5/6 (depending on expansion plans). Each group has 2v3 then winner v 1, then group winners play off (plus wildcard if needed)

It would guarentee derbies for the first 2 finals and a national spread for the qualifier/gf.

And it would build massive rivalries, as each team is competing with the same small group every year

Lol at Panther Stadium.
Half the crowd left at half time.
How soft are NRL fans?
The BOM were forecasting a cold change with hail this afternoon yet I reckon those that left probably turned up in t-shirts as it was 19 degrees in Penrith at 1.30 pm.
f**king idiots.

I'll lay the reality cards on the line. You are now out of the top 8/semis.See ya.At least the mutton will have an additional shot.
Shark's memberships are at record levels this year, despite not currently having an all seater stadium and a hell of standing room.

This is one of the best arguementa ive seen for ditchin suburban grounds...

Terrible congestion for anything above 15k just shows how inadiquate these ares are for top flight football

"Come stand in discomfort with strangers breathing down your kneck. Come to suburban grounds!!!"

It is, if the idea is for the ground to remain the same.It is not planned that way for the future. One of the reasons the club got involved in a $400m development
1) To save the club from extinction 2) To secure revenue in the future to bring the stadium up to 21st century standards.IOW much more seating and extending stands with more cover.
Hell we can't crack 20,000 at the SFS/Titans/Storm/Canberra with all their seating.

Where are these plans and what's the proposed timeline?

Hell we can't crack 20,000 at the SFS/Titans/Storm/Canberra with all their seating.

but we could because the capacity is there , we need to work toward it
other then the odd game here & there , we can't regularly at any suburban venue & they are responsible for holding the game back
its a simple as that.

And both got bigger crowds than Canberra this weekend ,despite not having all seater stadiums.

Penrith have the biggest junior league in the country.Of course that wouldn't have anything to do with it.

Yeah $400m development gives you a hell of a lot of mutton and lamb down the line. And not reliant on poker machines BTW.

This is the sequence of events.A lil ole club is involved with a $400m development. One that includes a redeveloped Leagues clubs and retail development bringing in $1m pa rental. In addition to that in front of the DPA ATM for assessment is an additional hotel and an additional 200 units. The club will be getting profits from about 400 units already being built, plus no doubt these additional if they get the go ahead.
You get money behind you ,and ATM the club is looking at a Cof E. and stadiums become a reality if you wish to grow the club.Simples.

Now a former Broncos CEO who spent a couple of months looking at the plans and financials in the club, at the time of the ASADA drama, stated in his view this lil ole club should end up being among the top 5 clubs in the game as a financial power.

Easier if you just ignore him.
