They should never be held at suburban grounds. They should work out to increase crowds, not retreat. Semis should be prestigious and held at the big stadiums.
When the demand is there fine. But logically they should work to sell out suburban stadiums then when that happens regularly transition to big stadiums.

NRL badly overestimated week 1 crowds. They should be held at real home grounds until week 3.

rubbish
sydneysiders need to have a good hard look at themselves

a few weeks of comitment during the finals
real support , who cares where a final is played
make the effing effort

And if it rains, you want to see nrl finals with 9k crowds? More big one city clubs and less games in Sydney is a better solution!

If you're only getting 13k crowds during the season then it's unlikley you're going to suddenly get 25k fans turn out for a finals game. Building clubs fanbase by not having sht KO times and making game day a great event is the answer but it's too hard for the nrl to understand.

Nrl .. where basically every game feels like a let down..

Imagine where we could go. If we could get this crowd monkey of our back
lol

fly to the moon

conquer North Korea

and why aren't you there?

so far every game this weekend has been close so what is the let down?

i mean look at this outstanding final
from this outstanding sport
in front of a pathetic crowd

46K watched a bucket of dingo vomit after eating a road kill at the SCG yesterday
it stunk

yet no one wants to watch this epic final live

Sydney .. wake the F up

btw

on a glorious sunday afternoon
because we won't cull Sydney teams as its unsavoury & upsets people who demand the right to have a club they won't support
then we need to get tough in other ways , as a sport , Sydney is the games biggest asset , & the biggest reason the sport can't progress at the same time

They can't even fill Bruce for a test match FFS.

during the regular season Easts had the highest home attendance for Sydney clubs. deluded opposition fans whinged that they only achieved that due to the ANZAC game.

So we get to the finals, with three games held in Sydney in week one. one featured Easts, one featured the defending premiers on a sunny afternoon and the other featured two Sydney teams. And once again, Easts get the largest Sydney crowd. Amazing

Dismal crowds. You'd think the NRL would make the price of tickets cheaper to encourage higher attendances...
