Ok forget AFL because 'it's not a sport,' but my point is Melbourne has a big sporting culture with NRL, Formula 1, tennis and soccer etc that they get behind.

the F1 & Australian open tennis would get support anywhere
its just Spazbourne happens to have them
NRL ??.. if they were such great supporters of NRL they'd pack AAMI out every week for the most succesful NRL side of the last 20 years
they don't

i dunno
their supposed legendary support of sport is a bit of a myth i think
except for the bumbling abortion they invented themselves
