2017 Finals Wk2 - Eels v Cowboys (GAME DAY THREAD)

I reckon it's about 50/50. They've got loads of finals experience and no pressure. There wasn't much difference between the two teams in the regular season and we're being talked up because of a loss to Melbourne in a game that wasn't even sudden death. If I was a betting man I'd put a stack on the cowboys.

They were shit for most of last week, they were just lucky that their opposition was just as shit.

They have been average since JT was injured. Everyone is talking up how brave they have been, yet they have only 5 or so wins from their last 12 and all from the bottom sides. Yet they still have more rep players then us even with Scott / JT out.

Yes, they really did limp into the Finals on the smell of an oily rag.
Last week the Sharks should have beaten them if not for their own stupidity.
They do well to hold on in games and take their chances, so while it is a bit of luck helping them out, they put themselves in the best position to take advantage of it.
Taumololo and Morgan have been excellent, and we will need to defend both very well.

The Cowboys will play simple footy, completing their sets and making metres up the middle, taking advantage of any mistakes we make (just as they did in the Sharks game). We need to have a high completion percentage if we want to do well in this one. Build pressure. Repeat sets. Good discipline. I hope we pull it off.

He missed a few tackles but otherwise I thought Cleary was solid. He was very involved. The Broncos just presented no opportunities through being offside the whole game.

it's weird though i went in there once and there was a guy wandering around in a dragons jersey i was thinking why the hell are you an eels member if you go for dragons??

I always see opposition supporters in there. Bloody Eels members giving their tickets to opposing fans.......penalty Broncos!

Yep. There's a reason they only just scraped into the final eight. Media's talking them up to garner some excitement. But the reality is that we should win this fairly easily.

The sofa is a lot more comfy than the stadium chairs but. Warm too. And the beer is cheaper. And better.

I'm personally a chaise lounge Parra fan
