What were our senior players supposed to do? Not drop the ball or not pass it? We weren't threatening them by playing safe, and when you shift the ball you increase the chance of errors.

We punished the Cowboys few mistakes (our long range tries) but they punished our biggest one when Smith let the bomb bounce and then got stripped for the go ahead try. But that's to be expected from a third string fullback. After that we were no chance of grinding back in front, and the Cowboys were unlikely to offer any more shitty attacking kicks.

Smith was a massive and unavoidable weakness. The Cowboys had no weaknesses - they had no third stringers and their only second string players were Jensen and TMM. Neither were glaring weaknesses the way Smith was, and both probably as solid in defence as the geriatrics they replaced.

Losing Thurston and Scott hurt the Cowboys attack, but once they got to 12-10 that wasn't a problem.

We didn't have the right to throw the ball around

We made 8 errors in the first half (they completed 14 from 14). Yet we persisted with the same crap In the 2nd half

BA said it best, the cowboys gave us a lesson in finals football

Nah the Cows are just a much better side than us, nothing to do with how poorly we played, us being defensively poor and our senior players not stepping up.

They're not 'much better' than us, just better suited to finals footy. If you couldn't see that you weren't watching.

I hope you put your house on them in that case. You would have 3 houses now. If you didn’t despite knowing all that you have no respect for money.

There's a lot to be said about the pressure of playing an elimination final.
You lose, you're out. That's it!

That's a lot of pressure to handle, especially when all you hear during the week is how you should be winning it easily.

You have to 'play one to win one'...or something like that.
