Struck the arm carrying the ball and the ball.
Ball comes loose.
Loose carry. Absolutely no surprise from Fafita.

But, as it was the last play of the game and he got over the line I agree it should have gone to the video.
And there it would have been ruled no try - knock on.

For those that were watching on BBC or Sky( in NZ )the Australian coverage (Benji, Laurie Dailey ) both thought it was a fair Tongan try.

One on one strip, re gathered and scored.

Not like all those current and ex players who are calling the decision wrong. They all know nothing compared to mighty internet guy.

And other ex players are saying it’s the correct decision., that’s why it’s not up to f**king players.

There is no need for this forum to degenerate into a primary school argument.

It doesn't matter if you're an English or Tongan fan, we can all agree the decision should have gone upstairs.

What the video ref would have ruled .... We'll never know.
NO. IT WAS A KNOCK ON .
NOT IN THE ACT OF SCORING .
VIDEO IS FOR TRY SCORING DECISIONS.
HE SAW A KNOCK ON AND CALLED IT THAT WAY.
IF IT WENT TO THE VIDEO IT WOULD BE TO CONFIRM WHAT HE ALREADY SAW ..WITH HIS OWN EYES!!!!
2 METERS AWAY... CLOSER THAN CAMERA!
NOT FRAME BY FRAME... COMPLETELY SEAMLESS....
NOT IN HD.... AS CLEAR AS THE HUMAN EYE IS CAPABLE OF SEEING!

WE ALL WANT TONGA TO WIN.

THEY DIDN'T.

If it wasn't a knock on it's a try so they can go to the video ref to check one way or the other.

Scott Sattler says it’s a lose carry. Even Australia thinks is it’s a lose carry!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fox sports in just crying in their beer because they didn't get the rights to it!
If they did it would read:
Epic game! Best world cup ever!

Isn't superleague supposed to be worse than Queensland cup? Largely superleague just side made the world cup final.
Not sure who told you that, but it certainly seems to have upset you. Some of the lower ranked super league teams might be amongst their peers in the Queensland cup. But the top teams wouldn't be.

It's comparing apples and oranges though. The NRL had a relatively weak season with the exception of the storm. How do you think Leeds would have gone in the NRL this year?

Ha ha. I turned over to the cricket with 10 to go and the score was 20 nil. Just came here and saw this.

The better team won and their prize for limping out of this game is to go to Brisbane and be annihilated by the Kangaroos next weekend...

This line that it can't be reviewed as it wasn't in the act of scoring is rubbish. Happens all the time. I think it was a loose carry. But really, it makes no difference as it was going up no try and not going to be adequately demonstrated it could be overturned.

I think it could also be argued that the ref had blown the whistle and put his arm up which influenced the play anyway.

Anyone defending the referee in this instance gives absolutely zero f**ks about Rugby League. Regardless of whether or not it's a knock on, it should've been reviewed and it's that simple. You can't go back and blame other things that happened in the game because the fact of the matter Is, that call from the ref is what decided the match, nothing else. If it goes upstairs Tonga win the game...anyone who thinks otherwise are either biased or just plain deluded
