And yet here we are
The little old shire with its shit suburban ground getting more people to games than the raiders.

24 years and won f**k all for you guys.
...and not looking like winning anything anytime soon either.

you won the comp in 2016
we haven't won a thing in 24 years
yet our crowds are on par with yours with us playing at the coldest venue in the league
& our memberships are a mile ahead or yours

wow
just wow LOL

Excuses excuses

If you have so many members then why is there nobody at the games?

So 8 junior clubs compared to 22 junior clubs doesn't cut it!? I'm not abusing you. I'm pointing out how absurd your ignorance is! That's all.

You are not answering the question though. Why are they down? It doesn't follow that it is because of the bears when all areas of Sydney are in a similar boat (there are one or two exceptions - Penrith being one).

Why are the numbers down in all areas? That is not due to the bears going broke 20 years ago. It is more likely due to soccer mums steering their kids away from contact sports.

If it ever happens you would think they would play 10 games at Gosford and 2 at North Sydney, at North Sydney they would play Manly and not sure who the other team would be, maybe the Roosters. It would be interesting to see whether NSO would be up to NRL standards, it should be fine for a couple of games and I can’t see it being any worse than Brookvale oval.

So you are wanting to do what you accuse everyone else of - abandoning North Sydney. In your own words, only top flight local representation in North Sydney is enough. You seem to now be saying that, that is not the case and throwing them the crumbs on two games a year is enough.

lol

It's clearly a major reason! If you don't think losing a top flight club that's been around since 1908 is detrimental to the code and aspiring juniors then it's no use discussing this reality! You are not savvy enough to work this out!

Answer the question with facts - not spin. How is North Sydney's participation different from any other in Sydney?

So if you express an opinion that's the rule. I understand some of the logic however I enjoy commenting and using logic for back up. If common sense can't prevail and selective ignorance dominates that's the way it is in this website. Mind you there are decent contributors so all.is not lost. However I've noted a very pro rugby union stance in some people that work on this site which to.me is problematic on a rugby league website! ?
"If you express an opinion"... no, if you quote statistics e.g. an incline or decline in participation in a certain area, then the onus is on you to provide evidence of such a claim.

I'm interested as to who works on this website that has a very "pro-rugby union stance"?

You have taken a photo of approx. 100 seats on the side you took the photo and maybe 1000 on the opposite side, none of which are where the roosters seated members sit nor where most of the GA members sit which is to the left of you and the corresponding bays at the other end of the western concourse.

The fact that there are people even sitting where you are is indicative of a crowd the size that was announced.

What do you think the 'real' number was and why?

On a side note, the club announced 7k for the same fixture last year which was a dreadful crowd. Why would they tell the truth about that but not this one?

Ha
What shit
I was there and could sit pretty much anywhere I wanted.

The reason I sat there was because my cousins from Hawaii wanted to sit down the front on the try line.
We actually moved there because the roosters were sticking it to the knights.

The other side is almost empty.

I’ll take photos of shark park and compare the two.

Can this thread be sent to the cave?
If I had the time I would go through the past 2 weeks of posts and calculate how many are predicting or talking about crowds. It has turned into an effing shiza slanging trolling mess with zero control. Has that CobyDelany guy gone? @Twizzle ? @Timmah ? @Frederick ? Who else are mods? Can we get a new thread. This thread is clearly purposefully being derailed. Bring back World Of Rugby League forum perhaps the answer, abandon th cess pool this forum has become. The jerseys, crowds and stadium threads used to be troll free zones. Sadly not anymore. Absolute BS. And blocking people doesn’t work...because people keep replying to the trolls so you get a disjointed replies to posts you can’t see that make no sense out of context. Absolute shit storm.

Haha ok champ.
Coogee Dolphins home ground looks better than Shark Park because the 100 capacity grandstand is nearly full every week.
