Was either Adelaide AFL playing tonight? Perhaps this game should’ve been Saturday night like the other Storm/Roosters ones in SA

No footy involving SA teams tonight so that excuse doesn't fly. Weather definitely had an impact, but they really need to schedule this game for Saturday or Sunday. Both teams would have had travelling fans who aren't likely to make it for a Friday night.

Couldn't have been Saturday due to AFL, Sunday maybe but as a neutral rather the big games on FNF.

Adelaide Oval looks empty?

Fits about 60k at capacity so yeah 17 looks small but considering the weather etc 17 isn't too bad.

The weather was fine last year thus the bigger crowd.

Both games have gone to the wire which is a good thing.

Nice day in Newcastle today, playing a team with a decent following up here and in decent timeslot. Should get 20k plus for sure.

17.7k in the rain is a great crowd, well done Adelaide and roosters for taking games there. Until last year most Adelaide crowds have been sub 10k.

Adelaide was 21.4k last year so a 3.7k drop considering day and weathet isn't too bad. It is worth persevering with.
