59000! Wondering what the normal entry ticket price is on this night. It cannot be more than $20!? Surely!?. If it is the marketing people just don't get it. For someone to make the effort on a Thursday night a significant discount should be offered and well publicised to all fans for the chosen venue. Even if they marketed a "buy one get one offer" would have been good?Simple but apparently not so simple!

The Thursday night game takes away from the fan anticipation and build up to the approaching round. It also pisses off tip comp participants. I would have settled for Friday 6pm or another Saturday or Sunday game for Free to air tv purposes and fan enjoyment. The anticipation aspect is something missing as a result of Thursday night football. Let them play on our weekends. The free to air tv game should have been on Saturday . Other codes are rating very well on this night. Why can't the NRL! ?

A few things about tonight's crowd.

- those doubting the figure... the camera side (the one you can't see on TV) was fairly packed. Easily 15k there.
- Last year on a Thursday night at ANZ these two only got 10.5k.
