Yes, it's 7 vs 9 NRL clubs, but most of these stadiums are big by NRL standards and they manage to put the house full sign up every week with triple the prices of an NRL ticket.
NRL should be doing much better at attracting supporters to games rather than just relying on TV money and bending over with games on Thursday nights and Fridays at 6pm. The overwhelming majority of games in the Premier League, as well as the NFL, are day games. Promotion of NRL is shithouse too and then you have the FTA broadcaster criticise the game at every opportunity as well. Has it changed anything in terms of how the game is reffed and time it takes to get decisions? No, it's only succeeded in turning people off.
