Seems to be an improvement for Canberra.
The NRL is up the NSW State Government to improve small suburban grounds because we have small crowds and it's "not a good look for television" and then they f**king put games on a Thursday, at 6pm on a Friday and 6 f**king 30 on a Sunday
Twats
Seriously, a Sharks V Dragons local derby on a Thursday night. That's a crowd drop of 7-8,000 for starters.
Surely the NRL dumbos could have made derbies at least preferences on decent times lots to maximise crowds.
If I had my way I'd be telling News/Slothfield and the 6pm Friday time slot to f*ck off well and truly. As useful as a tube of shaving cream ,in a hurricane.
We get 5 FTA games instead of 4. Whoopdy-f**king-do.
The myth that the NRL controlling the draw will mean a fairer draw has been well and truly debunked.
Link?
I’m mostly interested in when games are on. Next season is a big improvement on 2017.We get 5 FTA games instead of 4. Whoopdy-f**king-do.

Perhaps you chose not to read my post. I merely indicated it's not locked in because the AFL Draw isn't out. Hell, Round 1 hasn't even leaked yet as it normally would a week out from the fixture release.I don't know how you can suggest that this clash is incredibly likely (basically a 'lock') because the AFL isn't going to be worried about Storm at AAMI Park as it doesn't negatively impact their game, but it does negatively impact the NRL and it's supporters (as evidenced by the Crowd Watch thread) because playing the Storm/Cowboys up against Richmond/Carlton will mean less supporters (both at the ground and on the TV) watching that game.
This year, five teams had 10+ games in FTA slotsWe get 5 FTA games instead of 4. Whoopdy-f**king-do.

Fair enough, there was ones about a month ago where is was reported that 9 and fox wanted it because it wasn't a good look. Comments on facebook were all about them putting it a fan friendly times then. Can't find one now - it was reported in the newspaper (SMH) last week that the NRL had requested additional funding for Suburban grounds and had been rejected
The article stated that the NRL had said the crowd numbers in large stadiums were not a "good look" on TV.

Never saw the NRL version of it.
Every team should be treated fairly. This year, five teams had 10+ games in FTA slots
Next year, 11 teams will play 10+ games in FTA slots.
So it's actually true, it hasn't been debunked. Just that your team didn't get the big increase.
And no, the Sat night games are only the final five rounds - Raiders have none of those.
Every team should be treated fairly.
The NRL have once again shown their utter disdain for Canberra.
