My first post.
I'm peed off.The NRL draw has the dragons roosters Anzac day game at Allianz at 7pm and the melb game at 4.10pm.
This game has always been in the afternoon.
Hope its just a typo error or else there will be a lot smaller crowd there.Ive been to almost every one of them over the last 10 years but wont be there at that time next year.
Cheers all

I actually think that is an error on the NRL site, the Telegraph has the Dragons vs Roosters Anzac Day game at 4.10pm and so does the link on the Roosters site.

The Warriors have 1 FTA match all season.

Have the NRL forgotten that they have fans in Australia too?

What a f**king disgrace this draw is.

Todd Greenberg is destroying the game and must resign immediately

Do you think its good for the NRL if they get shit tv ratings?

Do you think it’s goodfor the NRL if some teams can’t get sponsors due to lack of FTA exposure?

Do you think it’s good for the NRL to disenfranchise supporters of teams that get no FTA exposure?

Do you think it’s good for the NRL to completely ignore regional areas because some teams rate well in Sydney?

And the NQ Bris derby in Tville is a Thursday night again....

f**k you NRL.

It's not the only one. Roosters v Souths at the SFS in Round 6 is scheduled for Thursday night. Regardless of whether it is at the SFS, or out at ANZ Stadium, holding that game on a Thursday night (which it has been at least twice I can recall) has had a negative impact on the crowd size.

I know it is worse for the Cowboys due to the distance many of their fans travel for home games

I’m mostly interested in when games are on. Next season is a big improvement on 2017.

Look I agree with that. This season was diabolical schedulewise,at least there are more big club games on weekends in 2018.It is a decent improvement. It's just that local derbies IMO ,should be given decent slots to maximise crowds.

As they should. Scum club with a scum coach and scum fans.
LOL
How do Newcastle only get 2 FTA games all season?

What a disgrace.
Just a guess, but them getting 3 straight spoons and playing like duds most of those 3 seasons could be it?

Just fully looked over the draw and my initial thought is that the NRL has done everything within its power to make my team unsuccessful both on and off the field.

There is massive issues in this draw; the most disgusting thing is when they decided to do the Grand Final rematch.

It's the SAME Thursday night as the start of the AFL Season. So while the Melbourne Storm play the Cowboys at AAMI Park; across the train tracks there will be 95,000+ fans watching the first AFL game of the season when Richmond plays Carlton at the MCG (an AFL tradition).

How inferior does that make the NRL look when a side that typically draws well in Melbourne, is last years grand finalist and features one of the greatest players of the modern era (in Thurston) plays against the Storm in what will be a less than ideal crowd due to to the clash/people avoiding the area due to how big the AFL game will be.

WTF? That alone should be enough to see Greenberg sacked immediately.

This one shits me. I love the roosters vs Souths derbies purely because of the hatred and the NRL doesnt give a shit. Everyone's gonna be watching it from home, how lame.

Alot of derbys have been put on the Thurs/Fri games. And the Greenburg comes on and says this draw will improve Sydney crowds.

Pretty much same as my team too. I've never seen a harder draw to start the season especially. Yet the top teams somehow still get a soft draw

TIGERS

Ticks

— Six Sunday afternoon (4.10pm) games, the most in the competition.

Crosses

— Play each of 2017’s top four sides in the first four rounds.

— Play the Storm and Eels twice in the first eight rounds, taking their tally of top four opponents to six before Origin I.

— Play a total of seven games against top four opponents.

— Play just four games against bottom four opponents.

— Three five-day turnarounds, the most in the competition.
