Regard the backlash for clash jerseys, alternate jerseys are not a new concept in International Rugby League. The Kangaroos used to use alternate jerseys for matches against the English clubs, so marketing it as a continuation of that may eliminate some of the backlash.

I know its a stretch but Australia has played in other jerseys before. I was only suggesting that to soften the blow of the Australian team playing in a different jersey.

Roosters, rightly, should be asked which jersey they'd prefer to go with, and then Melbourne should have to accommodate by wearing a jersey of theirs that will contrast.

That said, the Roosters alternate is much better and more iconic than Melbourne's alternate, so from an overall point of view, I reckon it'd look better with Roosters alternate and Melbourne main than it would the other way around. That's just me though.

Oh, 100%. They won't choose their alternate jersey just because Melbourne's home jersey is much better than their alternate. I was just commenting from my own view on what would look better overall.

I agree, Rooster's alternate is much better and recognisable than the Storm's, but no chance they will choose to wear it.. and it's the Storm's own fault their alternate is boring (should of been a white or yellow version of the Home)

Roosters qualified higher. They will wear their navy jersey as normal, Melbourne will have to wear their white away jersey.

I low key wanted Souths to win solely so Storm could wear the home jersey. I don’t dislike the away jersey for this year but it’s kind of a nothing design, especially considering it’s just a white version of the previous year’s Women in League jersey. A timely reminder for clubs to put some thought into alternate jerseys because you might have to play a grand final in it.

Looks like the only option is the shitty away jumper *vomit*

I wish teams would actually think about this before they release their jerseys (“if this year is our last GF ever, do we really wanna play it in this jumper?”)
