Roosters wore their away jersey and won with it in 2002 against NZ but even then it looked wrong. I hope there's an exception to the rule where a classic heritage league jersey that a team identifies with (St.George, Easts, Souths) can get priority.

I can only imagine the outrage if St.George play a Grand Final without being in the famous Red V

Well if they play the Dogs and the dogs are the higher ranked team it will happen.

What about if every ISC team just wears their marvel jersey for the GF to cater for clashes.

I can't see this happening. There's been a couple of instances in recent years where both sides have worn their normal strips, the NRL would probably be ok with it provided the Dogs are in blue shorts.

I'd be surprised if the Dragons ever played a Grand Final without the Red V tbh

Im really going to miss this badge. There was so much more they could have done with it. The NRL using silver for finals series and gold for grand final is just one example of the potential this badge still had to take them through another decade.

Definitely agree on the recolouring for certain events.

I'd love to see the NRL take on Mal's Kangaroos initiative (and maybe roosters are doing it too I think) with gold, silver and bronze badges on players shoulders for number of games played.

It'd be awesome for the premiers to wear a special gold NRL premiers badge, instead of the standard badge, throughout the season as a badge of honour to what they're defending.

  1. The Roosters do this already
  2. It makes the sleeves even more cluttered

I like the idea for the premiers, but the players logos on the Kangaroos & Roosters jerseys just look cheap & tacky. Plenty of ways to recognise people without needing to add more stuff to a jersey.

Sorry, think I didn't explain myself properly.

I didn't mean like the roosters or Australia do it, I mean't that the reining premiers have a gold NRL logo on the front right breast of their jersey as opposed to the standard green and gold NRL logo.

I just referenced the roos and roosters as I know they do special things for their players. Which I personally think is a real nice touch.

Just a little incentive for the players and fans.

Precisely. You could also have the reigning premiers wear a unique NRL badge (maybe the gold one?) the following season.
