New NSW jersey is okay. A huge improvement from past jerseys but imo, still not the greatest. I wouldn't have gone with the chevron, as you've all been saying, a plain blue jersey with dark blue on the collar and sleeve trims. I also think the design on the sleeves on the new jersey is so uneeded, just leave it blank.

Also, that Queensland jersey is certainly just a mock up and not the real thing. It's the cantebury jersey from 2017.

V is for single, chevrons is for concurrent. Would've thought that's fairly simple.

If you’re going to be arrogant and obnoxious, at least get your facts straight

That might be how you view it, but in league it seems to be the way I've illustrated it. For the Dragons, where it's a single instance, it's referred to as a V. Where two or more appear, the word chevron comes into play.

Certainly rolls off the tongue easier than trying to say "double v" or "triple v"
Its not just how I view it, its how plurals work. And since you raised the point, "double V" rolls off the tongue easier than "double chevron", and "double V yoke" is an easier term to use than "a saddled chevron accompanied by a floating le chevron underneath it" to describe the Dogs jersey this year.

Growing up, as a rugby league fan who kind of doesn't mind jerseys, I remember hearing the term "V" far more than "chevron". That also included "double V" for two of them. The terms only seemed to switch in popularity around about 5 years ago when the NRL released their new logo and crapped on about all the "chevrons" in their logos.

Perhaps avail yourself of the subsequent discussion. Specific technical definitions aside, its usage in RL at least in Australia is fairly obvious

Agree to disagree here I think. Never heard 'double v' used and I support a team that has them.

double V yoke wtf?

I don't hate the new design NSW Jersey but I don't love it either, like another poster said, it may grow on me over time.

Love the shorts.

The new term for red is rouge.
Oui, le grand rouge chevron .

Or to be technically correct it would be "le grand chevron rouge".

Pick which ever you want, personally I think the translation of The big V red, just doesn't quite work, stupid Frenchies.

Thank Officer. I was able to avail myself of the subsequent backpedaling that occurred after my post was made and the page refreshed. Some of us have jobs that don’t involve refreshing LU every 3 seconds. But regardless of the subsequent backpedal, the post was still far too obnoxious (in my opinion) considering it was factually incorrect.

Yes, timmah will be timmah, doesn’t mean he shouldn’t be pulled up on his mistakes like he is only so quick to do to anyone else who doesn’t post in alignment with the Forum Cop Laws.

I though the French had a letter V in their alphabet.

I don't mind the NSW jersey. I like it more than I hate it.

But I cannot stand Bryden's logo, even on the Wests jersey. It's just big and tacky. If Bryden's sponsorship was a musician, it would be Pitbull.

If they still release NSW jerseys without sponsorship for kids, I'd consider getting one for the young fella
