They wanted to demote the 20's competition so that it was under reserve grade and they've completely wiped it out of existence essentially.

Remember when they did it for the first time an 8pm at the 2001 decider

Knights played their semi finals at 730pm. We played our 2 semis at 3pm

We played like a rabbit in headlight at the GF in the 1st half, no doubt our body clock and nervous energy wasn't aligned as good as what the Knights were accustomed to. I think our last round game was daytime as well, so we hadn't had a night game for a while.

At the GF remember waiting an eternity for kick off. Had a pie there , remember that was nice

Don't know why a 6pm kickoff (as the latest) cant happen. 4pm would be ideal

Yep 6 wouId be a good compromise. The day just drags with the late kick off and just doesn’t feel like that “special” GF day.

Back when the kick off was 3pm, you could start with the beers, BBQ and friends coming over around 12pm. Watch the GF then kick everybody out by 6 at the latest. Now, they still come over at 12pm and leave at 12am.
