Can’t people just agree to disagree?

Judging other fans for their loyalty is really odd. Some of the biggest fans are a clubs strongest critics, because they want the best and aren’t satisfied with mediocrity.

Biggest problem with being an underperforming club is mediocrity looks good on paper. But we should be demanding more.

10 Finals in 52 years is not good enough but it's not like you can flick a switch and it is fixed. The lack of grey some don't see is annoying

Irs funny. Our full strength NRL side with internationals and feinge rep players gets smashed by a bottom 8 teams reserve grade side... and there's people still willing to argue with any opinion that is remotely negative.

If reports are true eve Gus was pissed off with that gutless performance. I eould think true fans of the club would also be pissed off when a player wearing our jersey shows no pride in it.

Trial or not. Show a bit of f**king pride in the jersey. That loss makes us the laughing stock of the NRL. But hey who cares? Pride means nothing to this bunch. What sort of captain or coach would accept that shit in any game ever? Thurston wouldn't. Smith wouldn't. Trial or not. Those record setting internationals had pride in their jerseys.

I never said we have no chance. So far under Griffin we haven't shown we can compete on the level of the best teams consistently. If that changes this year I'll be the first person to say how great that improvement is. Will you admit it's bad if we don't?

We have Ciraldo and Brandy doing our attack. To fix this yet you see it as a bad thing.

I want us to win simple. Whether that is with this coach or not I don't care as long as it happens. Man for man most of our players aren't in the top 5 in their postion yet we are meant to beat the best?

Whether we need a new coach to get these players to the top who knows. I trust the board will make a change when needed

And we’re simply disagreeing over the improvement we’ve seen.

Yes the club is better off now.

But I don’t think it’s good enough given all that’s gone into it.

Its the Gus/Hook groupies without a grey area.

Fans arent allowed to question anything ot think theres an issue without you guys stepping in snd arguing against facts snd statistics and throwing out random unrelated shit like it disputes it.

But Stuart did this. Lang did that etc. Like it f**king changes Hooks 6 years of NRL coaching for 6 wins from 37 matches against top 4 teams.

Our team 10 years ago sucked. So be happy that after 7 years of rebuilding we have a fringe top 8 side. Nevermind the fact its a side more than capable of being much better. Just settlefor being mediocre and never being a premiership threat.

Take any coach in our history and give them the resources Hook has and every single one of themwould have a better winning rate. Wehad thd best of everything as far as facilities go. Juniors go. Reserve graders go dtc. We had the best lower grade coach in the business st developing NRL ready players. We bought all the pieces of the puzzle we needed. But hired a coach not capable of doing what needed to be done.

Maybe so I agree there. Doesn't make this roster a top 4 team because of the resources though.

How many fullbacks roughly would you put in front of Edwards?

Or Centres in front of Blake?

Yet as a team they have underperformed?

This time last year. We had 2 back from ACL. No Mansour. Merrin and JFH with no gametime. On those counts alone we are better off
I agree on the match fitness thing. That makes perfect sense. The idea that we don't play properly so other teams don't work us out is rediculous though. What happens after round 1? The whole club doesn't go into meltdown because there's 25 rounds to go and everyone knows how we play.

I agree. They played horribly. What I don't agree with though is the nashing of teeth even before a proper game for points is played.

I will save my words for when it actually means something (if I have to be critical)

I see that as good because it might help fix the issues and an indication that Griffin isn't up to the task. I've said countless times he needs help with the attack. If I didn't want to give it a chance to work I wouldn't still be here.

For better or worse I love the club too much to shut up :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

At the end of the day the fringe 8 mediocrity we are seeing now is better than the utter shite we’ve had to endure since the highs of the 2003-2004. Surely everyone can agree on that.

Looking back is key to seeing how far we have come.

Now it’s time for Gus/BoD to assess we have the right people in the club, get the right people in the right seats and if needs be the others off the bus.

I don’t want to get into why I think they’ve underperformed, we’ve done that to death.

We disagree.

How are we better of much more MX?

Edwards would need atleast 5 FB's to go down to even be close to origin in the next couple of seasons
TMM will be on the bench at best for NQ
Moylan won't play Origin this year
Cleary was the youngest half in the comp.

So how is that an underperforming roster? The coaching record only matters when the roster is matching overs

This. We had set the bare minimum now time to improve that

So I'm less of a supporter because I 'hold me critical comments' till later on. Come on, 'you cannot be serious with that comment'.

That's not what I meant at all. I have never questioned anyone's fandom and I'm not about to start now. If anything it's a dig at me going too far in being a fan. I have a teddy from "build a bear" in Penrith that has a Panthers jersey!!

I have a fun idea: What about allowing those with a 'positive disposition' towards the club have similar weight to their opinion, as those who are critical of the club.

Then there is also those in the middle those who see yes there are some issues (like in all clubs) and have a middle ground view of the club. Maybe they could have weight given to their opinion too.

That could be fun:

exactly. Atleast see where we are after the 2nd Parra game in round 5. That gives as a good look at the new setup
