Stand by my comment prior to the series

The winner between Root and Smith for most runs wins the series. The rest of them are meh from both sides

Both bowling attacks are decent... Ali and Siddle aside, but one suspects they won't play much more - but who knows

Smith is will win that competition, and was hot favourite before this reaming... Poms will regroup, Archer to come in, and surely they must have someone who offers more than Denly?

Real question is who among the nuffies (Warner, Bancroft, Khawaja, Head, Wade, Paine vs Burns, Roy, Stokes, Denly, Bairstow, Buttler, Woakes) scores more - I'd give a small advantage to Straya at the top, and a bigger one to England through the middle - ironically exact reverse happened here (Gotta love test cricket), and it was just crushing in the end - Smith's first innings knock was huge... absolutely huge

Smith showing his class. A Smith without the pressure of captaincy could be a worrying thing for England. England are actually intimidated by him, they spend more time comparing him to the greats than we do.
