well if that happen and its just Foxsports say so, we are resting Patto after 1 f**king test match

f**king joke

And looking at the fixture dates the first and second Tests are the two Tests with the biggest break between them.

Not sure why they're resting Pattinson unless they specifically want him in the third test.

This is the test series right here though, we win this and most likely retain the ashes. Lose this and England are back in business and probably favourites.

Gotta play the strongest team and try to get the win.

Game on

Fire up Davey, double ton is yours this test buddy

Agree not sure why Patto is rested, I reckon he may have a slight niggle and didn’t pull up 100% after the 1st test. Should be a lock for the 3rd test when we go 3-0 up :sunglasses:

More than likely that’s the thinking- he’ll play the 3rd test. Was either playing this test (with weather around) or the 3rd. He’s not going to play both.

If this is honestly going to be Patto’s career from this point out then we have to put a red line through him. You can’t have a bloke who has to rest every second test because of injuries.

And if it is just a niggle, my bigger concern is that if he’d taken a five-fer at Edgbaston they’d be suddenly looking for a way to shoehorn Marsh back in there because Pattinson would be seen as too valuable to leave out but they’d need a fifth bowler to do the donkey work when he needs to cool down.

Anyway, hopefully it’s Haze in for Lords. I like the look of that attack because of all the combinations we have it’s the one that gives away the fewest cheap runs.
