Nope. He’ll give some pat rafter level “gracious loser” speech, all the f**ksticks who don’t watch cricket but demanded smiths head will pat him on the back, and he’ll remain in his position for another 2-3 years
The Pat Rafter-type personality (or, to use rugby league terms, the Michael Hagan coaching style "doesn't matter that you lost by 50 points, you still played well. Let me pat you on the back for your efforts") is EXACTLY the public persona Cricket Australia want, as they know this subtle form of esmaculation/effeminacy is what touches the hearts and appeals to the female supporters of the game and their children, especially in the aftermath of the sandpaper incident. Like Tubby Taylor during his captaincy, Tim Paine is also a "YES" man: the 'see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil' mentality.
Long gone are the days of the hard man/play tough and never give up mindset that dominated cricket between the World Series Cricket revolution of the late 1970s to when Allan Border retired in the mid '90s. And like with other major sports, the onfield personalities such as those that Dennis Lillee, Jeff Thomson, Merv Hughes, Doug Walters, etc. had have been killed off by the PC crowd. You couldn't have that type of personality in professional sport these days and at the same time expect to retain all your corporate sponsorships. The players, like athletes in most other professional sports, are basically robots now, very careful with what they say to the public over fear of some SJW/far left-wing person trying to crush them in the media, trying to make something out of nothing etc. Nowdays, most athletes are ar more interested showing off their useless photos on facebook/twitter/instagram, get more tattoos, the "Hey, look at me now!" narcissistic attitude.....
