I mean realistically whatever they say the reason for picking the Big Bad Be-Levered Bison is, it's just cos JL loves the taste of his scrote berries....

Probably wouldn't have been a bad toss to lose but given how flat The Oval can be, and given out openers are literally cardboard cutouts, I can see wanting to use whatever grass there might be early.

I tend to agree actually mate. Its a tough one because there is grass on the pitch and we can't trust the openers.

Its just funny the justification for Marsh runs counter to bowling first.

Can't wait to see the BIG BISON in action, using those long levers to go WHOOSH-KA and hit some maximums

Pencil him in to reach the Quiney and cement his place for the next 10 tests

LOL Shittle again?? 2-2 coming up after Poms make 400 this dig. Batting and now bowling both weakened significantly (the batting was already just two blokes)

Yeah Langer is a deadset mentalist.

I mentioned in the Eels forum, as sad it is, I do think there's an element of trying to protect the openers there. Piss poor position to be in selections wise.

It's also pretty late in the season so it may not dry out as quickly as it often does. Ultimately I think that even if it doesn't go all our way we'll still get the best batting conditions.

Plus I always like an aggressive move...

That pitch looks pretty good tbh. If we are afraid of that we have problems. Unless there is something crazy going on.

All that said we have good bowlers and England are pretty flimsy so it might work out ok

Not sure about the decision to bowl and I think it runs counter to the message the team has sent us with the Bison selection. If they think its so spicy we can knock them over in a day why play the bison.

The oval is a traditional bat first pitch. Sure it has a bit of grass on it but thats why the gutless losers at opener need to bat some overs. Its gonna be good batting by lunch imo.

England are pretty poor with the bat so maybe they can capitalise on that.

The results are very mixed. In the past decade batting 2nd looks a good bet to winning.

Crazy decision to bowl first....worse decision than the return of Marsh and Siddle combined.

U bat first 99 times out of 100 and especially considering all the bowling just a few days ago. Seems like we don't wanna win a series in Ingerland..
