That's not much of the point though, especially when a draw will do to win the series.

Because chasing runs, there's natural scoreboard pressure on us. We get less than England total, which is looking pretty likely, then the ascendancy is all with them in their third innings and they play with all the confidence of having a lead, whilst we're left to chase in a fourth innings.

It was totally the wrong decision in the context of the series IMO, regardless of our batting weakness. When you factor in the relatively benign conditions yesterday, it was absurd.
