I like your moral stance except that clubs shaft coaches all the time. They shaft players too. I am sure that many others have been in a business that has been acquired by another business and a whole bunch of great employees get walked out the door to err, "reduce cost". Some of them with 20 years service. Gone walked out the door," we are moving everything to head office". Now two wrongs don't make a right, but Ivan must do what is right for him and his family. If Cleary had f**ked off a year and a half into his stint with us, we would have been livid, yet many on here are happy to see him do it to the Tigers. I would have a lot less respect for Cleary if he does leave.
Time to be brave and bold. Just identify the next best young up & comer in the coaching brigade and give that person a crack. I don’t see any point pursuing highly paid over the hill has beens or going back to Ivan Cleary. Given our young roster and junior ranks a youthful enthusiastic coach full of potential is the right fit whoever it may be.
Who here has expressed they would be happy to see him do it to Tigers? Outside of that dickhead troll we would hate to see Tigers fans suffer through that.If Cleary had f**ked off a year and a half into his stint with us, we would have been livid, yet many on here are happy to see him do it to the Tigers. Tigers have burned through many coaches and players in recent years. Only feel sorry for the fans. Not the clubs.I like your moral stance except that clubs shaft coaches all the time. This is business, if the Tigers get compensation, c'est la vie.
so reading the play says the deal with Ivan is done. absolutely crazy if true.

Likewise with us. We're an absolute ruthless merkin club too.
"Adam's (Adam O'Brien) at the front there and he's done a great job for us for a long time, Id love to see him take over after me, whenever that is."- Craig Bellamy.Agree. Go for Adam O'Brien at the Storm.
Well Dad, you have the ear t the ground, is this how they are thinking?Agree. Go for Adam O'Brien at the Storm.

Paul Kent on NRL360 reckons its a done deal with Ivan, Tigers will say they aren’t releasing him until he actually requests the release and then he goes.so reading the play says the deal with Ivan is done. absolutely crazy if true.
Well do we have someone in line to inherent his position? If there isn't an relatively competent guy available I think we should stick with Gould. Yes, he can make some stupid decisions but there's always a chance the next guy or the guy after that could screw up our cap and put us back closer to the dark days before Gus sorted out the cap, juniors, debt, etc. Even playing with a bad coach like Hook things are swell in comparison to that. This is really poor. No proper process for finding a coach, just Gould’s ego again.
This should be Gould’s final act.
I disagree with that. Ivan did wonders when he was here. I do realize that Ivan didn't get the Panthers into the finals, however, he laid on the groundwork for hook.Time to be brave and bold.
