Yeah I think that’s possible, hoping it’s the case. But it doesn’t translate to origin where he was a total no show. Fittler even said whilst being interviewed in game 3 that Nathan needed to step up more & take control.

He was still an origin rookie, its a tough fast game. Anyway we will see but I like what I saw from him last week, I think he had already thrown the shackles off with his kicking game.

The Board needs to step in here and say we are going to prepare a short list based on the applications and then conduct interviews.

No handpicking of coaches based on what Gus wants.

We have 3 months to get this right. There is no immediate rush to settle this in the next fortnight.

Not even a glimpse of anything in attack, even in game 3 when the pressure was off a little. Colour me skeptical.

We were under the pump for most of that game, we tackled for 40 minutes straight.

Anyway im not expecting a huge difference, but little things like the kicking game, and I think he will be more decisive running the ball. He has looked in two minds for a while now.

Gus will just do all the interviews and then make the decision he was going to make anyway.

The mistake wasn't appointing Hook, it was extending him last year. Gus has said in his podcasts that a coach gets stale after 3 years. The trouble is that this would have been Hook's last year and they'd be talking to replacements while Hook was still coaching the side, which is the reason given for him having to leave immediately.

Kicks the first 40/20 of his career the week before the coach is sacked. I wouldn't be surprised if Nathan wasn't one of the players unhappy with Griffin.

Really hope it's not Bennett or Cleary. Wouldn't mind someone unproven like O'Brien who'd have learned from the best. Seibolds lack of experience hasn't hurt Souffs. If not, would be fine with Macguire.

Notice his kicking game was much different on Sunday? Word is that Hook knew before the game that it was his last.
Gus said today the decision was made last week. He would have had a pretty fair idea that is how it would pan out. This club leaks like a sieve as we have seen all year so of course Hook was aware of it.
