Gus said today the decision was made last week. He would have had a pretty fair idea that is how it would pan out. This club leaks like a sieve as we have seen all year so of course Hook was aware of it.

I am not fussed on Ivan coming back. He had his chance here it didn't work out. I think the club should go through 12 candidates and pick the best one that will get the best out of the players and hopefully win us a premiership.

Just heard on the radio we can spread the payout to Griffin out over a few years in our footy club cap. It makes a difference but it’s potentially very small and that cap isn’t a hard like the salary cap for players so if we go over the coaches cap we just pay a luxury tax.

Regardless what you all think, Hook did get the Panthers into three consecutive finals, and he did blood at lot of juniors, including Nathan Cleary. His reported salary isn't a waste.
