I was there when they hosted over 21000 on a Saturday evening against St George Illawarra. It's definitely not 21000. So much for the sellout ! Good crowd but not full!

Where IS forby?Rebuild Panther Stadium into a 30000 seater!!!!
Oooooordinary.
It's actually a ground record for these clubs in a regular season match. Previous was 14,472 in 2003.Can't even crack 16k. Very disappointing.
Where IS forby?
I think he is out lobbying for the stadium upgrade!Where IS forby?

Can you please point to these? At no point did either club or the NRL declare any such sellout. When you see grasomething on the hill and empty rows of seats : Its clearly not a sellout. Just pondering about the "SELLOUT" announcements leading into this game? Unnecessary and false.
I think he wants it in his front yard, apparently that is closer to his lounge so it is quicker to get to the game!In Blacktown or Penrith, or his backyard?
The panthers crowd is actually not too bad and as mentioned compared to what they usually draw against the raiders it’s very good.
So let’s talk about the Newtown game yesterday.
They announced 8972 which is their tradition but the official crowd was 9500.
-Tickets were expensive at $25 a pop. Normally it’s $5 to get in.
- Season seat holders were not allowed entry to this game- they had to buy a ticket.
- The Henson facilities absolutely cannot cope.
The toilet lines were outrageous.
-Henson is not that well serviced by public transport- it’s a fair walk from the station.
- The parking situation is non existent. Busy residential streets only.
- That was the best crowd at Henson since 1973 and probably (I am just guessing) the best second tier crowd in RL ever and eclipsed many NRL crowds this year...
So all the geniuses on here that claim Sydney people are not interested in Rugby League, need new stadiums, great transport and parking links blah blah blah are wrong.
The Newtown board have shown what is possible if you engage the community.

Lesson: It's not a sellout until the home club says so.The "sellout" boasts were on Fox League and channel 9 commentary on Friday night BIG Sports Breakfast mentioned the sellout on Friday.morning as well. The footy show also mentioned the sellout on the Sunday.
Lesson: It's not a sellout until the home club says so.
It would have stopped anyone who decided to rock up on the day, that's for sure.Missing the point. The erroneous claims of "sellout" from the various sources inhibits any chance of an actual sellout. Prospective ticket buyers give up or go elsewhere. That's the effect.
There is a reason this was the Bathurst game a few years in arow
Cronulla and manly with their sub 10k crowds would be much more suited to joining Newtown in this vibrant local competition.
