No, I'm suggesting quite the opposite, that the Gold Coast has a lot of rugby league fans and none of them like the Titans. Sydney teams cop endless shit about poor crowds, yet a one team city with a population nearing 700,000 gets a free pass for 11000?

rl is stronger in WA than in Victoria, no reason to think we couldn’t achieve similar with success. As long as we avg more than 13k we’ll be adding more than some Sydney clubs. Sharks have only had more than a 13k avg once in last six seasons for example.

The longevity and widespread Australian support that has been lost by diluting the "Sydney" clubs you consistently denigrate are far above in numbers than anything you think the effect of a WA franchise would add.
Mind you I am supportive of a ". West Coast Pirates etc " but when you turn your knife on the heartland of this competition "SYDNEY" : you turn it on massive historical, generational and geograpically widespread support. Imploding the Sydney clubs scene will not (repeat WILL NOT)benefit rugby league. Adding clubs to this competition without the sniping is far more workable and beneficial to this magnificent competition going forward.

All I did was compare that guess to a team who has also an entire state to themselves.. that has had unrivalled success.
They get around 15k average.

So Perth would be pulling most of their crowd from locals.

Hanging shit on the Sharks crowds is a pretty uneven argument.
Sharks are a small club surrounded by the 3 oldest clubs in the game.
Contrary to your imagination- not everyone cares about footy.
Also people aren’t loaded.
The footy is expensive .
Plus it’s on TV . I can get Kayo for the entire season for the same cost of taking my family to 1 game.

We have an entire Calendar we can build it around. Cook Islands, PNG, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, and NZ can all play for a few weekends whilst NSW and QLD duke it out. We can have an expanded WNRL Origin series.

I believe the only appropriate and logical way to bring back more crowds is to split the whole Rugby League community in two, with half being run by the National Rugby League, and the other run by large media corporation. They could call it Superior League or something and create their own unique uniforms, get more cash and create more excitement!
