RCG, JFH and Kikau are ordinary in defence. Kikau is technique. The other 2 hit hard but bounce off... I hope we don't change them just re-organise so it doesn't hurt so much

In an ideal world either of Katoa or Egan play the full 80 and have four forwards off the bench one of whom is a utility who can play either in the halves or outside backs.

That's why i hope we have three genuine forwards on the bench and only one spot for a utility/hooker/half.

We seem to have heaps of middle guys and not too many edge. So I think that alone means there will be shuffle

14. Egan 15. RCG 16. Leota 17. Hetherington

But i'll probably change my opinon tomorrow.

Agree but if we can get one of them playing 80 we can have Luai on the bench. He really needs some more first grade experience

I believe Tyrell Fuimaono has played both centre and backrow at a first grade level.

Could be the ideal utility bench option for us. If fully fit and injury free I expect him to play a fair bit of first grade this season. Interesting reading an article about his selection in the 2016 Holden Cup Team of the Year the only player in the 17 players named not to play NRL as yet is our own Oliver Clark now with the West Tigers.

We should have been preparing for that 12 months ago. We (the fans) knew Wallace was getting pretty busted and the club somehow hid just how truly busted he was. It seemed inevitable he would not last the season.

He's probably the reason Jimmy was trying to play while busted. Wallace must be inspiring for the guys even while not playing.

Apparently Gus has worked out all our grades for the next 5 years. So I am sure there is a hooker plan whether it is good or not is the question

He always looked such a promising prospect in the U/20s, but just hasn’t been able to make the step up in NSW cup. Was surprised when the Tigers pinched one of our nsw cup forwards this year, the picked him.

Should have but they risked it instead leaving us with fill ins for half a season.

The long term plan was Egan. And when he was named the 2017 NYC Hooker of the Year, and Panthers NYC Player of the Year, it seemed a solid plan.

But as he has only played 11 nrl games to date, there is still time for him to fulfill the plan and start showing his skills in first grade.

A pre season with the top grade and a decent coach might allow him to take the next step. He hasn't had a pre season with FG yet, just thrown in the deep end and expected to fit in last year.. not that we had any plan anyway..

Personally I'd keep this whole 30 for Atleast 2 years. Realistically I don't see it happening.
