If Shorten can't win more than seats that have nominally already been given to him in his own State then he really is UNELECTABLE.

Labor smashed in Qld. Minimal gains in NSW.

It will more than likely be a hung parliament and Wilkie and Bandt wont vote Liberal and I think people are still being optimistic about Phelps, Steggall, and Haines voting Liberal without Liberal completing abandoning its core values.

If it is 73 LNP and 72 Labor, I'm still not convinced Labor won't form Government

Anthony green calls election for the libs

Is he calling a LNP majority victory though? Or just calling LNP with most seats??

Massive issues to be resolved if no majority.

Green is probably saying that historically Liberal seats who have Independent will vote Liberal.

Go talk to Windsor and Oakeshot about that....

Shorten is cooked, Green just said he can’t see anything but an LNP govt from here

This is Labors Hewson GST moment.

Probably a bit different Hewson couldn’t explain the GST, voters just don’t like Labour’s policies.

This election probably ends the opposition ever put up a substantial range of polices before the election, most will now just have a small target plan

Yeah there is a difference in some ways, but its obvious the voters want information on policy.

I'll be honest, as a life long Liberal voter...this result has blown me the f**k away.

I think that’s sad though. I didn’t agree with all of Labor’s policies but I really appreciated the sentiment and gusto they were put out with. To the point where even though financially I’m better off with Libs, I voted Labor (disclaimer my vote doesn’t really found in my electorate anymore)

Called it on 19 April. Blow it out of your arse and use that as something to power the country. LOL.

Not taxing my inheritance nor are you going to get rid of negative gearing.

I agree with the fake news and the sentiment, the part that has completely blindsided me is the bookies. The money and the trends here are usually a good indicator, I can’t believe how far off the money was.

Have we put an emergency watch out on Gronk, he spent the last 12 months posting anti Lib blogs ad nauseum, not sure how it will end up but there is a price to pay for offering things for nothing and the electorate then figures out it will be them that will pay the bill.

Shorten and this Union mates, Sally McManus, Plibasek, the idiot Kenneally et all, didn't appear trustworthy, particularly the shifty and no answer Shorten

I can relate to this. Greenway was always going to be labor, I voted with them, but it wouldn’t have mattered either way. I am a bit better off either with LNP, but either way my family will be more or less the same and I preferred policy which did a better job at addressing the future of renewable energy. The status quo sux, but it is all we will get in the future after this result.

Also, If Shorten can't win today, Labor should learn the lesson and never elect a union boss again. Australia has changed, not enough people like the f**kers.

I’m sure he will be fine. Gronk appears well read and educated, he has formed opinions through independent thought. You listen to 2GB while shaking pompoms.

It will be interesting where they go from here. Albo is the popular choice, where as Plibersek is the superior choice in my opinion, but this result has shown that Australia is still not ready to elect someone of her pedigree.
