re: roosters away, white writing on the comp logo on a white jersey, well done whoever the dumb merkin was that allowed that to happen.
It definitely looks better on the Roosters home jersey -

It was the second last one (all red with blue and white chevrons), as was posted by about 5 different people at the time.
It looks better because its not the same shade of blue.It definitely looks better on the Roosters home jersey -
If I recall, someone earlier in this thread said the NRL had limited the badge backings to only a handful of colours, which is why most appear not to have the same colour as the jersey backing. It looks better because its not the same shade of blue.
I hope this proves that "match to logo to the club colours" is officially a shit idea.

But then Canberra's two jerseys appear to have two different greens, so now I'm not sure.

Nope, they're definitely two different greens. It might be an optical illusion...
If the green of the jersey is different, the badge might look lighter or darker in contrast.
Because we're more important than other clubs in the eyes of the NRL.its as I suspected
they have NFI what they are doing.
if the raiders with two greens can have two different shields. Then why cant teams have different colours for different jerseys.
why is this so hard for NRL HQ.
You seem to be the one most upset by it tbh.‘How shit is the new NRL logo rebrand’ - day 58
Must be because of how the new comp logo looks...Heard a rumour that Telstra may be pulling out as naming rights partner.
This certainly goes against the original guidelines that the NRL sent out. I believe that black was to be used if you didn't want to use any of the other five or six colour options they gave.If I recall, someone earlier in this thread said the NRL had limited the badge backings to only a handful of colours, which is why most appear not to have the same colour as the jersey backing.

Seems strange to make such rigid colouring guidelines when the rest of the brand is about flexibility of application. Even weirder to bend those rules for a single jersey for one the NRL's forgotten teams. This certainly goes against the original guidelines that the NRL sent out.
