Let me repeat:

Your ability to use statistics to make things suit your point is politician-like.

For the Titans to be pulling such poor crowds - particularly given their relatively uncluttered market - is a massive concern. Trying to deflect onto other clubs isn't the discussion here.

And their memberships are consistently bottom of the pile.

And your double standards when it comes to the titans is interesting. The stats show they are the not the worse attended club in the Comp, and that’s a fact.

If I'd have said "they are the worst attended club in the comp" you might have a point, but I didn't.

But while we're talking facts (and steering back on topic) = they've been last in memberships - by some margin - for at least three seasons now and looking almost certain to stretch that into a fourth year.

If you think there aren't problems at the Titans that need addressing then you're not look closely enough.

They’ve only avg’d under 13k twice in their 12 year history. As opposed to say Cronulla who have avg’d Under 13k 8 times in that same period. Why the double standards for the titans compared to most other clubs?

I take your point but if I am going to be critical about poorly performing teams in Sydney, I have to be consistent with expansion teams that have entire cities to themselves.

The GC has a population of just over 500k, is in a RL state only an hour south of the RL hotbed of Brisbane. I would expect 15k averages at a minimum from the Titans crowd-wise. If they can't pull that, I think the license is much better used in Brisbane.

Having said that, I'm happy to give them a go because in the early days they certainly showed that potential. My preference is for a successful Brisbane 2 AND Gold Coast, but if it is either / or like it is at the moment, I want to see GC successful or the licence sent up the highway.

I’m more concerned at manly avg 8500 in a rl mad city like Sydney, but each to their own concerns lol

And yes Timmah they need to sort their memberships out as they clearly have a lot of potential to grow them given they have a reasonable crowd avg. maybe they haven’t yet cottoned on to the other clubs tactics of boosting the overall number?

Dunno why this knob is having his usual go at the sharks
We have increased membership every year for ages and are well ahead this year too.
We managed to get bigger crowds than other clubs too last year
Raiders being one.

Manly's crowds are a worry yes, but they're also competing with 7 other clubs in a 50 km radius.
Gold Coast have one competitor up the road.

WTF is "other clubs tactics of boosting the overall number"?

indeed, those numbers are pathetic considering the on field success theyve had over the last years.

Hard to go past the Titans though their lack of members is staggering. If the front office cant get more members than that they should sack themselves.

NQ seems to harvest a decent amount of members in the first 6 weeks of the season, the numbers will rise and we’ll leap frog a lot of the Sydney teams as their numbers seem to stagnate.

Gold Coast have plenty of competitors, including the Suns, all the theme parks and the beach.

Finally the club has settled on a strong management, plenty of young local talent coming through and this year may be the year we return to the Top 8. Also the Titans admin have done an amazing job linking with junior clubs and schools. Things are finally being done right.

Theme parks?
Ok get an annual pass.... seriously, how many times do locals go during footy season.
As for beaches

Knights
Sharks
Roosters
Manly
Illawarra
Souths
Are all beachside based teams.

In a city of 5 million

You'd have to ask the clubs with 20k plus memberships and 12k crowds the answer to that one.

It could easily be argued that the beach and theme parks aren't as popular in winter than they would be in summer.

The Suns story when it comes to crowd attendance is more or less the same as the Titans - starting around 19k in their debut season and sliding ever since, currently hovering at the 13k mark.

And some of them have smaller crowds than Titans lol
Yet the Titans have no other teams within a 50km radius to compete with.

If you want pedantry I can match you - Northern Beaches' population is ~270,000, less than half of the ~638,000 who live on the Gold Coast.

I keep being told from Stallion that Sydney clubs have fans spread far and wide, whats this limited catchment geography I'm now hearing?

And how many Perth fans would reside in other states, or would they overwhelmingly be confined to Perth.A catchment area within an AFL besotted city.

And few have stadiums like the Titans. All seaters, with good viewing areas.
All with bigger memberships.
As usual not comparing apples with apples.

nor do they charge ticket prices like the GC had to, as you said its hard to compare apples with apples. Suffice to say GC Titans are not the worse attended club in the comp, nor have they ever been. But they do need to get their membership sorted out.
