Maybe if you did you could enlighten us on the common split of Titan -v- visiting team supporters.

I have been numerous times and my exoerience has been that visiting team supporters are significant. Usually country / interstate supporters of Sydney teams.

That’s good that we have an opportunity for fans to follow the club if they move there isn’t it? Means we are less likely to lose them from the game. Hopefully their kids will grow up supporting the local club in time to come.
I suspect there will be plenty of ex pat Souths and warriors fans at Pirates games if we ever get a team.

If GC were replaced with Brisbane II, they might not be lost to the game.

The only reason why they don’t come last in the crowd averages is that it is an attractive destination for away fans to visit.

Most Titans home crowds have equal or more away fans than home fans.

Exactly over the last three years at the Titans vs Sharks on the GC, Sharks fans accounted for 75% of the crowd!!! There is a massive amount of support for Sharks on the north coast of NSW and SE QLD.

This is what keeps the GC average up - away fans.

Just as well all of the supporters aren't only living in the Shire seeing as we are so penned in!!!

I'd be amazed if this was true given what we know about NRL fans willingness to travel. Sydney NRL fans want travel across town let alone out of town or state.

Why not replace a worse attended team with Brisbane 2, cut from the bottom not from the middle.
If a team is being cut from Sydney as you seem to be implying, I'd rather they be replaced by a Perth side.

In my opinion Brisbane 2 is more urgent that Perth due to the popularity of the code in Brisbane.
They need a game up there each weekend and a second Brisbane team could really do some damage to the Lions and force the AFL to spend more money up there.
Some competition would also force the Broncos to up their game.

I’d have no problem with that as long as it’s a relocation or spot created from Sydney. That would then leave the opportunity for a genuine expansion strategy to Perth and nz or Adelaide in years to come.
Makes no sense to expand by one team and not have an extra game of content to sell if the game grows to more than sixteen clubs.

Who said they were from Sydney?

You do realise most Sydney teams have large followings in Northern NSW, Gold Coast, Brisbane (infact all over SE Qld)

How many members do we think a Brisbane2 club would get to start with, 20k?

A darn side more than Perth,I would suggest. And the people there would actually care. The media would give them airtime and print space, whereas a search party would be needed for the same in Perth.

Priority is Brisbane 2, written spoken and authorised by Clive Palmer .

I am the other way around, it would need to be a brand new team in Brisbane and should be relocations of Sydney teams to Perth and elsewhere.

So why not continue with them then, surely drawing paying customers of any team is a far better stat then % of home supporters(knowing that this claim is all anacedotal horseshit anyway)

Not to mention it is a direct competition region with afl. Pull the titans and it’s a big free kick for suns.
