f**k James Hooper is clueless. Raving about Cam Smith's 40/20 the other night and saying how it was phenomenal for a left footer from where he was... No idiot, if it was a right footer on that side of the field with that angle, then that would have been far more impressive. Smith kicked it and bounced the way you'd expect a left foot kick to bounce with a bit of hook on it...

Some people are untouchable; it seems that when talking about Cameron Smith, one either needs to verbally fellate him, or keep quiet.

I hate the guy - he's scum.

Brilliant player, but.

Buzz was after Gus last night. So transparent. These merkins don’t like each other and Buzz went after his adversary.

Talking about Gus, I watched the Ch9 stream of the Tigers match. LOL at Gus who after the Reg 50m try chirped that he “knew” that he would become the best prop inthe game this year.

The same merkin who shopped Reg.

Agree

This is why I do't mind Paul Kent, he is basically the only one that has a go at CSmith. Have seen him stop a conversation and bring up the two contract fiasco of the cheat when others are talking (wanking) about how great he is on and off the field.

Of all the News Ltd hacks, Kent is the least objectionable. I'm actually warming to him these days....

Urrrggghhhh..... Think I need to go take a shower. I feel unclean after typing that...

Besides their dislike of each other, I believe his strong objection to Gould's NRL appointment has also got a lot to do with Gould also being a media man and therefore will have the scoop on every major and not so major story coming out of the NRL from now on.

In other words, Gould could feasibly report on anything that he feels the need to, being privy to info that outsiders don't have the same access to. Or what is more likely on a more regular basis he could pass on information(scoops) to colleagues at either CH9 or SMH and stick it right up Buzz's scoop ability arse.

Also it could allow Gould and or the NRL the ability to control the narrative somewhat, which click bail bottom feeders like Buzz would absolutely abhor to the core of their pathetic being. I say this could be an issue of course on certain topics, but overall in my view it is about time the NRL has someone of influence in the media in its corner to propagate positive outcomes and stories for the NRL.

Rothfield prides himself(wrongly I believe) to being the number one snoop scooper in sports media. This he probably feels is going to adversely affect that perception. Tough tities I say and suck it up you hoax.

I though love this appointment and if Gould is used right could be a God send to the Development pathways of our game. Especially in the development of our playmakers. Gould has always said that each NRL team should have 2 to 3 if not more NRL capable and ready halves coming through in their squads, like the NFL sort of. If he can achieve that over the next 10 years or so, he will have increased the NRL's quality 100 fold in my opinion.

The quality of the playmakers at present has never been so ordinary since the 70's at least. At least 8 or 9 teams have reserve grade stranded playmakers and is the PRIMARY cause of the chasm split between the 6 or 7 good teams versus the rest now that the games is free flowing again and can't be disguised by the wrestle. It needs to be fixed or the game will decline big time in its overall appeal at every level. The play makers make the product what it is. All the other players no matter how good feed off that.

Period!!!

Problem with Kent is he isn’t that bright and for a journalist comes across in live media situations as inarticulate. He also has his mates that he constantly and quite obviously protects, Ricky Stuart being the prime example.

gee if it were only that easy,

firstly how many halves can one team fit under the salary cap given they are the most expensive players in the team/squad ?

secondly, if your reserve no 6 or 7 is any good, another team will scoop him for a lot more than say we are paying Jai Field who is probabaly better than most statewide cup halves

who the f**k has enough money to pay for 3 or 4 halves under the cap ? and who misses out of squad places while they play statewide cup ?

this is not thinking,

do not rate him and this is an example of why, he hasn't thought this through and most will have already picked up on this

Oh he is a knob of the highest order, over the top BS a lot ot times when not necessary

Everyone in the media would have mates, cant grudge Kent there

On The topic of wanking over Cam Smith, seems every journo treads carefully over Cam, except Kent (from what I have seen)

Paul Crawley just shut up Kent, after he kept interrupting and wanting to be the dominant conversationalist

Crawley: "Will you let me finish"

Kent: (silenced)

haha

Thing is but, if you go back to the start of that interchange, Crawley actually cut Kent off in the first place...

f**k I can't stand Crawley. Fart sniffer of the highest order, to borrow a phrase of one of my Eels brethren...
