Blues been garbage for a long time. They average about 12000.

Australia's only Super Rugby finalists recorded their second lowest home crowd averages in history this year (8509)

And the Brumbies averaged 8.5k this year, looks like its League doing Union a favour here.

Anyway, a great idea and in todays climate of people prefering to sit at home on their devices its great to see initiatives to get people to sporting events.

Is there any reason why the weekly schedule is fully locked and not a bit flexible?

We should be using more flexible timeslots. We can't have Thursday night and Friday 6pm games every week. Whatever happened to the old Sunday 12pm timeslot for Warriors home games?

We could use:
Thursday 7.30 (now and then, e.g. first game of the year, before Good Friday)
Friday 5.30 or 6.00 (Warriors home games, occasional others)
Friday 7.30
Saturday 3.00
Saturday 5.30
Saturday 7.30
Sunday 12.00 (Warriors home games)
Sunday 2.00
Sunday 3.45
Sunday 5.30

And if they add Perth to the comp before the next TV deal we can add:
Friday 9.30
Saturday 9.30
Sunday 7.30

As possible timeslots.

Well the NRL have done something right finally with that magic round fixture.

The 3 QLD teams spread over the 2 days, no Thursday fixture and no matchups that are marquee.

The all Sydney game isn't ideal but with 9 Sydney clubs there has to be 1 and it is far better than last year when we had wests/Panthers.

Surely the Storm v Dragons game gets a decent crowd. Seem to be 2 of the better drawing non QLD sides in Brisbane.

It will be good to sit with my special Souffs friends for Magic Round. Maybe I can hang out with Gandalf in the Burrow, bring along a banner and a thermos.
