Yes I know they do. I said the same thing. What’s your point? My initial response was to someone gloating about panthers juniors stocks compared to roosters. I’m pointing out that you get to claim districts that aren’t within your local government area. We don’t have that luxury. I stand corrected City of Penrith. Better?
Yeah but what is the population of your catchment? Its a small area but has a high population density. I would expect that on a pro rata basis you aren't producing as many first graders from your local catchment as we are. There are good reasons for this. The infiltration of AFL in the area, for example.

Most people living in their catchment now don’t even know what rugbly league is if we are being realistic. The roosters could fold tomorrow and there wouldn’t be a wimper about it in Bondi.

Best guess from below link I’d say max 250k which is half of City of Sydney 240k (half the suburbs fall under Souths) plus Waverley 80k and Woollahra 60k. Penrith alone has 210k then add Hawkesbury 70k, Blue Mountains 80k and assuming half of Blacktowns 350k. So more than 500,000. This doesn’t include rural and regional areas.

Roosters win 30-14.
I suspect this is a reference to the PF of 2004. The Roosters might be more or less comparable to that Bulldogs side, albeit getting a bit long in the tooth, but the Panthers are in far better shape. If they concede 30 it will be the first time since July 2019.

For what it's worth... although local juniors are have limited relevance to success in modern professional football, it would be good to see the club, and the region, making more of an active effort to raise junior participation.

1. I believe that the area could fit up to 4 or 5 more junior clubs with a "build it and they will come" approach even if they started with entering only a handful of age groups. The demographics of the area are changing. The city and kings X side is rapidly attracting a younger crowd, and the idea that rich people aren't or won't be interested in RL is backwards outdated thinking - especially with Union on its knees.
Queens Park, Vaucluse, Woolahra, Kings Cross-Rushcutters, Ultimo could all potentially attract new players to the game if someone made the effort.

2. A closer association with Norths - dare I say a merger, at lower levels - to bring at least the lower North Shore into the Roosters banner. The distances involved would be comparable to the Parra district which runs from Rouse Hill to Cabramatta and would be beneficial to both clubs.

Anyway, this is neither here nor there for the game tonight...

Good luck Panthers, you'll need it ;)

haha, no i'm not that smart...

Just thinking roosters will take a while to get going and second 40 will turn it up. For sure this year they've had games where they seem like a completely different team, for the worse.... and not to take anything away from Panthers awesome season, and the obvious advantage of playing at home.... I just think ultimately roosters have more battle scars from the big occasions.

but regardless, I wish penrith the best of luck and it would be fantastic for the game if they went all the way. so good to see a different team up on top. Enjoy the game Froggy!
